  • After two years I finally found some time to make a video about The Smart Scoop ice cream maker made by Sage or Breville
On the video I share my review of this ice cream maker after using it a lot and after two years! As well I make a test batch of ice cream so you can see how this ice cream maker works!
    Specification:
    Model name - BCI600BSS or BCI600 BSS
    Power consumption - 170-200W
    Capacity - ~1l
    Price ~ $300-450
    So is it worth it?
If you really like ice cream and you plan to use it more than once per year, I think yes! It is easy to store and use this SAGE ice cream maker as well it does not require a lot of skill to make tasty ice cream with the smart scoop ice cream maker, all you need to choose the recipe you like or if you preferer to experiment you can make your own recipes!
Is it reliable? Before we ordered the smart scoop I read many negative reviews, that it tends to break after just a few goes etc., so I was a bit worried especially because we bought this one to make a lot of ice cream, not just one or two portions for fun!
So during active usage I must say that it never failed when it was working, usually minor problems occurred only when we wanted to start to make the ice cream in the very beginning in the starting process. Where once the main shaft was stuck so after a bit of manual turn it started to turn again and the problem was fixed. And once after start temperature just didn't change, but I fixed the problem by restarting the smart scoop maker and by little bit of moving the ice cream maker, I dont know what I did, but it worked after that! And of course it is possible that time to time the ice cream making container may stick to the ice cream maker machine, but with a little bit of force it usually came of! Other than that we didnt have any other issues!
Speaking about how loud it is and how much it consumes electricity then I can say that it is not the most silent appliance, but it is still way more silence than blender! As well it does not consume a lot of electricity, kind a economic!
Speaking about the quality of ice creams! Overall it produces a good quality ice creams, not only good enough to share with friends, but as well to sell some random people! Of course it could have bigger container capacity and less ice crystals in the ice cream, but for how easy is the process to make an ice cream with this Smart scoop ice cream maker it is totally worth it!

I have a Breville brand that looks the same as yours, same style and the way it comes on and sleek. You can choose your type of ice cream you want like yogurt, gelato or ice cream. This smart scoop are expensive but worth the investment. I got mine at an auction for just $10.00 it has the brush, the scoop, and the blade that what you will have to have, but no booklet instructions.🍧🍨🍦
