  • On Day 3, we travelled all the way from the capital city Thimphu to Punakha with a stop-over at Dochula Pass. We then hiked to the Fertility Temple and learned about the story of the Divine Mad Man. We also explored Punakha Dzong and followed the life of Buddha and the 12 deeds. To cap the day off, I crossed the longest suspension bridge in the country.

Absolutely gorgeous scenery, and your choice of filmmaking is marvellous and entertaining to watch. I would love to visit Bhutan myself, albeit I'm not too sure if there's still a daily tax on foreigners (excluding people from India)?

Hi, we had bad experience. We were excited to visit, a trip for two people. Please don't get fooled by the new rules. 1200/- per day, mandatory guide 1500 per day (who needs guide in these days), three star hotel accommodation 4000 per night, cab booked by them 4000 per night, local monument fees, food extra, imagine for two people for 4 days (2 days of stay) they gave budget of 39000/-. Medical insurance 500 per person. Definitely a beautiful unique country but not the worth hype they are making. So next time if you think of Bhutan, skip it, let them enjoy their way of life. Skip Bhutan, don't visit.

You purposely omitted the fact that those figures are not in USD terms rather in Indian rupee. You got a problem with the fee? then don't visit, simple. Otherwise no need for unnecessary fuss
