All of the five Arcade conversions are absolutely retrospectively brilliant 😺👍🕹️.
In fact, MIKIE is still #1 on my gaming 🕹️ list for the Commodore 64 😺👍🕹️.
The Speccy 48K version of this game looks absolutely brilliant 😺👍🕹️.
IKARI WARRIORS is the first Arcade conversion,
i have ever played on my Amiga 500 😺👍🕹️.
And it's still one of the best 😺👍🕹️🕹️!
A big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from
    Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.

@@ArttuTheCat thanks for the positivity! I thought I'd picked a few good ones too. Mikie is definitely my favourite on here. Definitely worth giving the Speccy version a try my friend

Shocking that Green Beret was not a Crash smash

Im sorry to hear about your carry on with the hospital. Ive had faff ons like that over the years. You learn to take it on the chin. Aslong as you take care of yourself at home and all of that, you should be fine in between appointments and treatments etc.
Arcade conversions werebt something i was massively aware of back in the 80s. I heard about them but i cant remember playing many arcade games and their home video game conversions at around the same time. I dont remember there being an arcade in Middlesbrough where i grew up so i only got to play them when we were out for the day at Redcar or Whitby, which wasnt that often, or the handful of family holidays we had. No one else was interested in the arcades so i had only have a quick go of whatever i had the spare change for. I did manage to get my parents to pay a quid for me to have a go on the Star Wars game, the one you sit in and it moves around. That was amazing at the time!
I think i remember and prefer Ikari Warriors the most. Im sure it must have been an influence on The Chaos Engine, which is one of my favourite games 🙂.
By the way, i like your stories and memories. As you can tell, i can ramble on reminiscing myself a bit when something sparks my memory off 😉.

I'm another one guilty of thinking Konami had a J in it as a kid thanks to the font 😂. Some good choices here 👍

Another great video... I am really enjoying owning my first Spectrum. How about a video on Spectrum exclusives? I have been trying to find a few ( The Benny Hill Game is a hoot!)

The Arcade games that I loved in the arcade and on the Speccy... Outrun and Chase HQ... two racers I know, but also games that I played a lot of in both formats. Operation Wolf when it came to shoot-em-ups, Bubble Bobble was my platformer of choice, and I also loved the original Star Wars cab. We'd go to Littlehampton each year as I knew that there was a machine in the seafront arcade. The Speccy conversion was almost as good.
As for these choices, I loved Bombjack, Mikie was a perennial favourite, but Green Bert was just too hard for me. Never played Kung Fu Master or Ikari Warriors though.

some awesome choices there for sure! I like all of the ones you mentioned. I was trying to veer a little away from some of the expected games a little, and also pick a few that mean a lot to me, even if they were not the greatest!
