Never played this console as an American and growing up in the mid 80s and 90s I never seen this consoles or even heard of it until a few years back. I still get nostalgia even though I have never played it.
It was absolutely huge here in Britain throughout the 80s. Before the 'console war' of the 90s between Sega and Nintendo, we had our own three-way 'Computer War' between the Spectrum, the Commodore 64 and the Amstrad 64.' No prizes for guessing I was on 'Team Speccy!' I know these games aren't much by today's standards and it's mainly nostalgia driving the love for the system, but if you ever get the chance to play a ZX Spectrum game, I recommend 'Target Renegade' or 'Dan Dare' - both are amazing games for their limitations. Thanks for watching! ☺👍
I'm quietly optimistic about it as I bought both Retro Games Ltd's Commodore 64 and Amiga 500 mini and they are both excellent pieces of kit - definitely a must buy for collections and fans of the original systems. Bring on the ZX and its 'dead flesh' keyboard!
@@retrogamerecluse There's ample sites with ROMs. I've waited over 34 years to get my hands on one. I had the Amstrad CPC 464 Plus back in 1990 and i couldn't justify getting a ZX Spectrum to my parents
"A Metal Murder Carrot" 😀
Also, Fred was a Spanish game and reskinned by Amstrad for their 'Roland' series.
@@Metal_Maxine Nothing more scary than a metal murder carrot flying towards you from the deepest, darkest depths of space 😉
