This is super cool! I think this is the first "real" tutorial on how to theme plasma. Besides your tutorial, every plasma theme tutorial I've seen is just downloading a pre-made theme pack and call it a day.. Thank you for this tutorial! Of course I subscribed ;)

It's great to see these in video format which may be more digestable to younger generation and encourage them for participating in open source.

This is a great resource for people who want to create beautiful themes.
When you will do elements that have some sort of highlight/accent color, please don't forget to include how to make the theme follow the System color scheme. What should the text files look like to make it work? Is there a special SVG color value 'reserved' for system color?
Also, would you recommend making the entire Plasma theme from scratch, or using Plasma Theme Editor to see what .svg files I need, what IDs should I give the elements, etc, and basically edit Breeze into my own theme?

This is great! I just wish it would of came out 2 months ago before I started to build my own plasma theme. If you could, please make a video on how to upload a Plasma Style/Global Theme to KDE Store and/or Discover. That's what I'm trying to do now and can't find any information on how to do it anywhere. Awesome video and easy to follow.

Hi, thanks for the effort. Could you please make a video describing which parts of the desktop are controlled by "Global theme", "Plasma Style", "Application Style", "Colours". I have been using Plasma for a few years now and I still have no idea what will change when I download new theme or what should I customize in order to get the desktop looking the way I want it. I've stumbled my way to something I like but this is not exactly knowledge. Thanks.

I don't know what you are doing. I think it would be best to show the finished creation 1st and show how you got there,. I want to be able to mix and match elements from already existing themes. You show a series of endless steps without a proper overview.
