    Alex had that unique shooting style where he would raise his arms completely straight up over his head...I saw him play many times and would say he was "Poetry in motion." On top of that, he was perhaps one of the classiest players to ever play the game!!!

    The quietest scorer ever. 25,000 points yet very few people give him recognition

    Nobody today plays like he did. The mid-range jump shot is a lost art. He could shoot over anybody, and he did. Smooth on the court, and smooth in life. Even his dunks were smooth.

    Fantastic. Life long Lakers fan but, outside of the team, Alex was my favorite player in the league. Haven't seen a player like him since.

    • @Amick44
      @Amick44 Год назад +2

      I will say no one really like him. While Alex is taller than Dantley, like Adrian, he was kind of at a size disadvantage. At 6'7, he was probably the skinniest 6'7 in the league. Yet it didn't stop him from scoring around the paint like very few could.

    • @stampscapes
      @stampscapes Год назад +2

      @@Amick44 Good point. What's amazing about Dantley was that he played so much bigger with that hard-to-stop low post game. Worthy and AC Green at about 6' 9" and 6' 10" couldn't handle him on defense. He'd make the basket or get fouled. Really felt sorry for AD (even though he was a Laker foe) when he got traded to Dallas as that ended his shot at a championship.

    If only he quoted Dr. MLK instead of Mother T, he would've been as famous as Magic. It all comes down to salability. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
