I told them you'd be the guy to get that thing prettied up and working correctly! ;-)
I believe that the hum (whine) at the start of “I Feel Fine” was the first recorded feedback ever. … I remember that tune on the radio and on the jukeboxes. Another great video Ronnie. … After watching your troubleshooting videos for over a year, I am much better at reading the schematics, understanding them, and ultimately fixing my own machines. Thanks Ronnie. ….You wanna know why Ronnie has so many followers?. … because he’s the best pinball tech you could find, … and he teaches you as he entertains you. Wow!
That's very nice of you to say Mark, thank you for watching!
He and Joe has learnt that they cant fix every machine in their region. Also those thst could fix their machine themselvws but dont have the time will still bring it to them. As a bonus, plenty are intrigued as to what was under rhe hood of the tables that they played and lived in the pass.
Thanks guys.....great video thoroughly enjoyed !! :) x
all the way from upstate ny! well traveled pin.
Nice start Ronnie. Haven’t been around because of you, have been working through my own project. Thanks for your tutelage, and please tell Donnie I’ll catch up and I say, hey!
Thanks!
Good luck with it!
I had access to playing Space Mission back in the late 70's. Very fun game!
Great video, Joe did a great job on cleaning it up. Man, those chimes sounded a little sick. Can not wait to see how you fix that. Thanks Ronnie see you on the next video.
They're pretty bad! Thanks for watching Frank!
** grabs popcorn** can't wait!!
thankyou thankyouverymuch
It polished up nicely. I forgotten how much I missed the time-lapse and cool music. Waiting for the pay off...
Guess what? VIDEOS ALL WEEK!!!! EVERY DAY!!!! DEAL WITH IT!!!!! Thank you for watching MacDaddy!
I like the Apollo-Soyuz artwork on the back glass.
Classic!
I love these tear down, clean and remount videos along with the music!
Thank you for watching Glassia9!
That playfield cleaned up really nice, when I first saw it - I thought - that looks worse than the Space Odyssey I play, and the one I play is still on location in an arcade, (The one I play does sound better though, but no doubt you'll have that fixed in a jiffy. i'd agree it is a very fun machine to play.
So satisfying watching these clean ups. Can you tell us which cleaning materials etc you’re using please?
Thank you! I just got one😊
Guessing they would rather hack the coin door than mess in the back of it. People will do their own things :).
Nice to see another one of these coming back to life. The playfield looks really good on this one. Just minor wear.
It's a really cool game too, one of the best EM's.... thank you for watching Brendan!
Wow Joe is very quick, he's 3x faster than you Ron, high speed Joe 😉
''ICON'' ‼️®™️ 🔥🔥
Ain't that the truth!
@@LyonsArcade 🤣🤣🤣‼️®™️
I watched the cleaning at two times the speed, so Joe could work twice as fast :D
Now we know why Joe only says "its broke". If he says "its dirty" he has to work and clean it. ;)
Hey Kate.. long time?
Joe knows
@@LyonsArcade Joey's the man
Well said 😅, No business of mine Kate
I just came across yer channel & wonder if machines can tell the difference between
CANADIAN SILVER QUARTERS v. CANADAIAN QUARTERS
v. AMERICAN QUARTERS v. AMERICAN SILVER QUARTERS
and curious if you've ever done a video about it.
Some of the coin mechs can tell it's a Canadian quarter and reject it, but most of them take it, and most of them take the silver ones the same as the regular ones. Usually when you take the quarters out you can hear if there's a silver one in there, they make a different 'ting' sound when they hit the other quarters!
JOE CLASSIC, Do you know the "name of the alloyed used" on the contacts to withstand the high current? What measuring tool can you use to measure the contacts gap because it says it has to be 1/16 inch gap but how do you measure this? I'm guessing all the relay contacts should be set at 1/16 inch gap
Yes that's about the right gap, I don't measure it though I just kind of judge by eye, what I think 1/16" looks like. Thank you for watching Wayne!!!
An easy way if you want to get yourself an actual tool for it, is an automotive tappet feeler guage.
@@ray73864 like one of these? ruclips.net/video/L61KAX2-KpA/видео.html
Tungsten/Platinum were the common metal coatings. Same process used in automotive points. That said, replacement units may have a different material. Specialty files were used & point filing will distort/remove coatings. Parts were expensive & filing extended use.
So do the balls roll notably faster on the play field after waxing?
Waxed balls...there's a novelty 😆🤣
ive asked you before but i cant find it. whats that soundtrack again?
www.BenSound.com
Not trying to be a downer here but should Windex be used on the playfield?
You saw the video, right?
@@LyonsArcade yes... did I miss something?
Almost the same title as David Bowies hit song people 😁
Have you ever heard Young Americans? There was a bar down the street here in the 70's I'm told, called "Godzillas", and then they went out of business, and a new guy opened it up and called it "Young Americans" both of them only lasted a year or so though
@@LyonsArcade Yes:)
Instead of "sold" you need an "in for servicing" tag. Same effect, with the added bonus of advertising you service machines.
You think so?
Or one that says "it's broke".
You should make a combo of both of those signs. Joe's famous "it's broke" then in for service. Keep up the great work guys.
Don't the girls all get prettier at closing time?
Queue the classy jazz cleaning music!
Let's do it!
Sky-Lab launched about that time, cashing in on unlicensed patriotism. Smart
Hello
Yodelayheehoo
Hello Lil Everette!
The 70’s porno music really added to it!
Massive slant on that table.
Cool one though.
You think so?
Fun fact the graphics on the back glass are from the Apollo-Soyuz mission that NASA and the USSR did. The graphics are a copy of the mission patch for the mission.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo%E2%80%93Soyuz#/media/File:ASTP_patch.png
They probably didn't even have to pay to use that Apollo-Soyuz art because it's government/already PD!
Now, today, if they try to use the likenesses of military hardware WITHOUT getting a license from the contractors, they can get sued.
The game developers even have to pay to use the designs out of service planes like the F-14 and F-4 in games.
Everybody expects that there's a license for a TOP GUN game based on the movies but they never expect for the gaming companies having to get licenses from aerospace companies!
I wonder if that would be the case for using the Shuttle or one of the 1960s flight hardware. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.
A lot of the copyright has evolved with the gaming industry. It was the wild west in the 1970s and 1980s. With the exception of obvious things like movie and TV show licenses, pretty much anything went until lawsuits established precedents!
