Hi, I work with Zale in Canada. Please bring the ring to any Zale store and if you have a lifetime warranty, ask them to send the ring out for re-dip ( rhodium plate ) or tight all melee stone. They will send out to check all the stone on your ring and spa your ring to make sure it bright and shine again. Why would you think what appears to be a 3ct Diamond would be so cheap? Why would you think you could lose a Diamond and they’d give you another for free? Why? If that was the case, people would buy diamonds “lose” them and get free ones. I think the issue is you not knowing the cost of a Diamond or reading your warranty. I have a ring from Zales and I don’t think the warranty is worth it. I honestly think their prices are way too high.

Yes, you have to swim through ALOT of junk on this channel, but if you are diligent and pay attention to their different "smackdowns" , you can score a genuine diamond ring in sterling or gold for a clearance and/or smacking price. Never get the life time warranty without reading it. Zales states on the small letters that it’s just for cleaning and resizing and prong maintenance, and still have it’s limitations. They won’t replace stones, and you have to purchase gold to size up, and it’s 2 sizes at the time, plus it takes them about 2 weeks to get the job done! Worthless warranty. You could pay for the services else where IF NEED IT and get them the NEXT DAY elsewhere. You see, the IF NEED IT part is important because if you purchase yellow and rosegold (10k, 14k,18k) with gemstones and diamonds (lab or natural) more likely you wont’t need regular visits to the store. But White gold does require re-plating every few years, so you might want to considere, but keep in mind what i motioned before. NOW, gold plated is whole different thing because IT DOES NEED maintenance and very often the cost of it is almost 😅 the same as the value of the piece, so in the long run it wont’t be worth it. With gold plated the warranty is a good option unless you are making a conscious decision that it will tarnish if you don’t re-dip them, etc. Honestly, every time I look at the prices, it not worth it because you could get at least a 10k gold piece for the price of the warranty and the gold plated piece. It might be simpler and smaller of what you have in mind, but it will last for years to come with almost no maintenance. Resizing and cleaning are optional things that you might not need, or you don’t need to pay much specially if it’s 10k or higher. By the way 10k is stronger than 14k and 18k, so it more scratch resistant and necklaces are stronger when kids pull them because gold is soft naturally and at 10k means is mixed with another alloy making it stronger. Good 🍀!
I used to work for the company that was a Sterling silver ring with white sapphire I saw it immediately. With a 70% off coupon you shouldn't have paid that much. That is the regular price.
Also, the silver is not ruined. Silver tarnishes, if it gets bad enough the silver cleaner won’t due and you have to polish it with a hood buff and rouge. Your costume jewelry piece doesn’t tarnish because it’s prolly some cheap alloy, if you want precious metal that doesn’t tarnish go gold or platinum
I love Zales and Kay’s ….. I guess each to their own. This can basically happen anywhere at any store. My diamond is just as beautiful now as it was 18 years ago. My sis in law thought she had the best diamond ever… after not even three years, her diamond turned so many colors, the band also. This was from a local owned jewelry store.
Really sorry to here you got scammed! Terrible thing to have happen especially with a well known chain jewelry store. I new as soon as you said you paid under $200 for it I knew it wasn’t a real diamond. That same ring if it was a real diamond would have cost you thousands. Trust me I know. I done a few upgrades on my original ring. What they should of done is be truthful with you when you told them your budget, suggested a smaller diamond, a moissanite or lab grown diamond that fit your budget instead of lying to you.
Not really there’s many lower quality diamonds for dirty cheap. Best place to get rings for cheap is Walmart all documented rings with real gold and real Diamonds. Lower quality diamonds doesn’t shine as bright but still real. That could of even the case.
Try a sunshine cloth (that’s the brand) on the silver - it’s the best for tarnished silver. Hopefully it’ll help give it some life back! Someone mentioned a redip- rhodium doesn’t last long (on me) but will bring back this bright white color. The sapphire may or may not do well in the chemical cleaner- Dawn dish soap, warm water and an old toothbrush should help give it some life back. I’m sorry you got scammed but hope this helps!
A princess cut diamond for $150.00, what world are you living in? And oh yeah, a diamond like that in silver, ok. I'll sell you a bridge. You didn't really get ripped, you should have known better to think you are going to get a princess cut diamond at that price. You could have taken it back or took Zales to small claims court. There is plenty of ways to investigate the true price of diamonds without getting scammed. Why didn't you look at the reviews from Zales, they have terrible reviews.
So sorry to hear about your bad experience! Please know that small, independent jewelry stores are not like this at all. Chain stores (Zales, Kay, etc) typically don’t educate their sales people well and are known for poor quality jewelry and shady sales tactics. They’re a bad representation of the jewelry industry. A local, independent jeweler is much more trustworthy so I hope this doesn’t discourage you from jewelry shopping. :)
Funny if the diamond corporation that controls the distribution of diamonds around the world didnt control how many are put on the market. Diamond rings would be devalued big time.
Young lady for future buys you cannot get a Dimond and gold ring for any amount near 200$. You got what you paid for. Plus chlorine from a pool will eat the metal up. The second ring you showed was a crystal on SS that’s why it held up
If this was really a scam, your paperwork would say that you bought a diamond set in white gold. I seriously doubt you were truly scammed. I think you just didn't do your homework. Also, unless you have homeowners insurance with a rider which covers your piece, you will never find a warranty which covers your negligence. You weren't scammed. You wanted what you want for the price you could pay. Its a beautiful ring. You loved it when you first got it. Get it cleaned, polished and resized professionally and youll love it again
Being lied to sucks. However that was a nice price for what it truly was. Tarnishing happens when non-plated silver is exposed to air, it is completely natural but I can see how you may not want a piece with that much maintenance. You could see about getting it rhodium plated which would prevent that. Personally I love my CZ and plated Sterling pieces since they are inexpensive and Im not scared to wear them, but I look forward to getting a few higher quality ones in the future.
Sorry, but diamonds that size are never set into a soft metal such as sterling silver. For the price you paid, that stone is not a diamond. It doesn't even look like a diamond or have the facet patterns of any diamond. If your receipt or warranty indicates a diamond ring, then that constitutes FRAUD. A marriage is not about the ring, anyway...
When buying jewelry choose Kay’s. This is not an advertisement. My wife and I have been with them for 20 years all we have to do is keep up our inspections. Rings are still as good as new.
the problem started and ended with you thinking that there is such thing as a 70% off coupon for anything you want in a jewelry store, after i heard that i knew where the problem is and it wasn't zales
Rule #1 to ALWAYS remember for ANYTHING in life: If it seems too good to be true, it's definitely not true. I'm sorry for your experience. P.s; most mall jewelers are nothing but an enormous scam anyways. You pay over the top prices because you're paying for the store's rent in order to keep them up and running, electricity bills for the store, and other random utilities. Basically, mall jewelers want the customers to pay the bills for them. This is why I only buy from reputable, online businesses and I always have my jewelry certified for both the gold and the gemstones.
What you were charged for the ring is about the right price for white sapphire set in sterling silver. Sterling Siver tarnishes over time and will tarnish in a pool with chlorine or exposed to showers and soap. The salesperson must have been a real con artist to convince you it was gold with a real diamond for that price point. I also never heard of a jewelry store that give 70% off anything. Have it re-plated with rhodium to bring back the shine.
Never get the "lifetime warranty" from where you bought the ring. Get ring insurance. You pay yearly and if anything happens to the ring it's all covered. This option does add up though so people don't really start to consider it unless they paid close to a grand.
@@thetimeinbetween8857 Also, most stores have a 30-day return policy. When I buy a piece, I always take it to a different jeweler to have it appraised. They always appraise it for less than what I paid because jewelry loses value the second it leaves the store but if they appraise it for significantly less than what I purchased for, I return it and go get more for my money somewhere else.
I don’t defend Zales but let’s be real. You bought a ring with the hopes of upgrading it anyways. So why not upgrade it? You can’t trade it up but you only spent like $150 or so anyways.
It's really important to do your research on what things should cost. Just like a shady car salesman, people will get over on you any time they can. A ring with a diamond that size, set in white gold, with pave set diamonds and a wedding band is absolutely never going to be $200. Not even in the hundreds at all. But you could get moissanite for that price, and it's pretty similar to a diamond. I got mine from Doveggs.
ME TOO! About two yrs ago. I ordered a ring that looked amazing on the website. I got a similar ring but not the one advertised, it looked very cheap. Never wore it. Very embarrassing. I knew it was gonna be sterling silver and a lab created stone. But coming from Zales I was expecting the same product from the website, a delicate looking ring, with character & elegance. But instead the ring looked like I got it from a cereal box!
Same thing happened with me. My husband order my ring and when it came we were both not happy. Luckily and hurtful emotions at the same time we went into the store to be more disappointed. The sales agent was rude when we asked for our money back. The ring felt cheap and very uncomfortable
good vid! Important to mention that Zales, Jared, and Kay are all under the same ownership so shopping at one is like shopping at all. (Or avoiding one should mean avoiding all). I only trust online jewelers now (Bluenile, James Allen, etc). Mall jewelers are a dying breed
The tarnish on silver from the chemicals in water is normal. ESP if there is sulfur in the water. And yea as others said a diamond that size would be 5-10-20 grand
You could get a beautiful Moissanite in real gold for a good price. I have a 1 carat genuine diamond in white gold from zales, it has so many inclusions it don’t sparkle much, so I bought a 3 carat Moissanite in 14 k white gold for half the price, and it has tons of sparkle!!!!!
No no honey you did not get a real diamond. You got a white sapphire. You can definitely tell the difference on both. I am huge in diamonds I have plenty from zales and they are true diamonds with certifications and also appraisals. I love zales ❤️ plus my 14k solitaire diamond ring was 7,000 and with all my discounts my husband paid $4400 with lifetime warranty. I don’t see how you can get a real diamond ring for $150

Your ring is just oxidized from being left in the closet. A polish would shine it right up. I'd google if white sapphire takes to silver polish well or if you need to cover it.
btw the ring you bought from Walmart is not Sapphire is Cubic Zirconia which technically is a fake Diamond the Sapphire is a natural stone , you might want to get the actual Sapphire transfer to another band, because Sapphire is an expensive an natural stone.

@J Mac I didn't say that lab created weren't authentic darling. But lab grown ARE less expensive and the store is obligated to tell the customer if they are lab grown.
I am so sorry for your experience. As a rule of thumb, I do not buy jewelry from the mall. Once at Banter by Piercing Pagoda,a clerk tried to sell me a gold over silver pendant as real gold. And the pendant was $800.
Sounds like the sales person wasn’t well trained or educated. I use to work for them and did not enjoy their quality so I ended up getting another jewelry job that sells quality for a better deal. Sorry for your bad experience!
Honey oh no…. They don’t set real diamonds in sterling silver yikes and the size of the stone for a real Diamond would have easily been over 10 grand… I agree that dude is a scumbag for scamming you but that price for that size stone and in sterling silver???? Not possible.
Sorry to hear you got a bad experience in getting an engagement ring. Unfortunately natural diamonds or lab diamonds are not cheap, they cost thousand of dollars for just even 1/2 of CT size. Also when you buy real gold rings, it always comes with gold stamped on the ring( ie: 10K, 14K or 18K). If you don't like sterling silver ring/bands because they easily tarnished once you put them aside then I would suggest you buy stainless steel rings or engagement ring that made of stainless steel. But this type of metal only comes with AAA or 5A CZ stones. But it is still a beautiful stone and sparkle enough compared to a real diamond. I wish you all the best.
Sorry to hear that. But white gold with that size rock isnt going for $200. I purchase a white gold over 1 ct for about 2k from Zales. I did manage to purchase a rose gold 10kt with diamond acct for about $100 but I double dip with store coupons and CC coupons. The jewerly guy did get you. I always check online first for an ideal. Some stuff is plated or to know the exact ct wt. But silver is suppose to tarnish unless there is a seal on it.
I didn't even think they existed anymore. All the malls had a Zales store. Since Malls are pretty much dead now, I can't remember the last time I saw a Zales store that was open.
If I were you, A. I would personally write to Zales the company and tell them everything you shared on your video with us! B. Start learning about gemstones in general, and or try to educate yourself more and more on items that you wish to buy! I do this whenever I am able to,especially jewelry which I love! Gemstones too! P.S. Did you know that a diamond rings setting is worth much more than the diamonds or gemstones in the ring? Some person told me this years ago. Some ring settings are rare,or hard to recreate or find!!

Crap was like $240 and 3 jewelers have now confirmed that its not Tungsten. Apparently, I could have gotten the same thing for like $12 bucks from China
My guess would be that The sales person either picked up the wrong ring or maybe thought it was a diamond themselves …. I just recently bought a ring on sale before Christmas for like 650 bucks with the warranty plan on it it was originally at $1200 ring with no wedding band so it definitely won’t be my last ring …. But I will definitely make sure that I speak with two associates just to make sure that I won’t get scammed on my next ring I bought the $650 ring as a replacement for my original engagement ring I love it so much more and it definitely sparkles and the band is a lighter white gold which I like I think the store itself isn’t bad but it’s just the people selling they need more experience when selling diamonds

I bought Zales jewelry and diamonds they are all beautiful pieces. I had a similar incident. I knew the main stone in my cocktail ring was a white sapphire but I wasn’t told that the outer “diamonds” that went around the ring were not. After the third “diamond” fell out they replaced it but told me none of them were diamonds and they were also white sapphire’s. Funny part is they did replace one of the “diamonds” with a real one and you can tell which one it is due to the flaws in it 😂 🤷♀️
Im late on the comments but it is true you about resizing the ring that’s what happened to my engagement ring After resizing the ring 2 times I started having issues with the setting of the ring😬😩 but I’m so sorry this happens to you
Girl…… its tarnish. Get some tarn-x. You spent $200….. gold alone is expensive no matter which color gold. Add diamonds to the gold, especially a single solitaire that size…… you will not get it for $200.
I know this video is old, but tarnish doesn't destroy silver. You just need a good polishing cloth.Maybe get yourself a sonic cleaner, and that stuff will come off. I used to work in a jewelry store, and I honestly would not recommend wearing any type of jewelry in pools or hot tubs. Zales was definitely wrong for that. However, at least they didn't charge you for a diamond. They charged you what that type of ring would actually cost.
You didn't get scammed you didn't pay attention or do research or he didn't speak properly. Firstly thinking you are getting a great diamond for a hundred ish bucks is laughable in itself. Secondly let's analyze the reality of what you expect. "if you lose your ring" they replace it for free. All for a low insurance cost of probably less than a hundred bucks. So lets say you have a thousand dollar ring, 5 thousand dollar ring, 10 thousand dollar ring and oopsie you lost it. They replace it the company is now out 1, 5, or 10 hypothetical dollars. Who proves that it's lost? How many people do you think would claim they lost a ring to get a free one that didn't actually lose their ring. Do you know how much jewelry would be getting pawned or sold for free money after it was "lost" dot dot dot. So many shitbags and thieves in the world what you expect isn't practical. I don't mean to be rude but a hundred dollars doesn't buy much even in lab created diamonds maybe 1/10th of a carat so please understand there are rings in the bridal cases that sell for 15 grand, no jewler in their right mind will replace that free of charge on word of mouth alone. Jewelers warranty is great for damage, for loss you should have a precious goods policy on your home insurance.
Oh crazy. Well I know a little more about jewelry now than before this incident years ago..lol it was the first piece of jewelry I ever went to buy, and since I grew up in a very strict household and religion, I never even seen jewelry except for on people so had no idea of prices, clarity, ect lol. But thanks for info. I had no idea lol.😊 still not really into jewelry haha
925 is the most common sterling silver hallmark in America. I look for 925 when ever I buy a piece of jewelry even if I'm not trying to buy silver. I don't like plated jewelry so if it's supposed to be solid gold but it has 925 on it I know that it is plated and not solid. Just a little info for next time. I'm so sorry that he scammed you like that. I forgot to add gp mark for gold plated jewelry.
The same thing happened to me but with the Disney collection and supposedly they were 14k and they were lies when I took them to verify them they were lies they were not even silver and the diamonds were not real when I went to claim them they did not want to change or return them my real money, if they are scammers I will not buy from them again
You pay for what you get you went to Zales come on now... It's hard to find a wedding ring for $1,000 that is real and has a big huge diamond like that and they didn't tell you what diamond size neither was it a carrot 2 carats either way the money doesn't match up with the rain you should have known something wasn't right and shame on you Mr jeweler for selling fraudulent items to these poor people.
Hi_end stores sell fake jewelry all the time, I went into a name brand store sale...they were selling 18k gold and other decorative stones...worded professionally and pricy!
I mean the first red flag was the sale. REAL diamonds unfortunately never go on sale (lab grown do I think). I'm so sorry you were misled in store. That is so wrong. But you can bring the band of your ring back to life!! Silver needs to be regularly buffed with a "Silver Polishing Cloth", you can get them on amazon for a few dollars! just make sure it says "silver" not just a regular polishing cloth! When it's that tarnished you'll actually see black come off on the cloth. I hope it works out. Xxx
the biggest lesson is - if the ring is a hundred dollars, its not real.

It's a good thing is always been good for you! That sucks for your sister in law
The red flag is that it was silver. They don't generally set diamonds in silver.
Yes..learned my lesson for sure
Not really there’s many lower quality diamonds for dirty cheap. Best place to get rings for cheap is Walmart all documented rings with real gold and real Diamonds. Lower quality diamonds doesn’t shine as bright but still real. That could of even the case.
Tarnishing just needs to be polished off. You can get tarnish remover wipes
Thanks I will try it. 😊
Wow you’re super judgy and perfect I guess 🙄
So sorry to hear about your bad experience! Please know that small, independent jewelry stores are not like this at all. Chain stores (Zales, Kay, etc) typically don’t educate their sales people well and are known for poor quality jewelry and shady sales tactics. They’re a bad representation of the jewelry industry. A local, independent jeweler is much more trustworthy so I hope this doesn’t discourage you from jewelry shopping. :)
It won't lol haha I've learned a lot since this lol
Research or not she didn’t deserve this now homework yea she should have done research but also a good sales person would help educate her!!!
Thanks for the advice.
Yeah because a real diamond with real gold would cost to some thousands.
Keeping Sterling silver in the dark will cause it to tarnish. It would tarnish less if you wore it every single day. Common misconception
Hmm I didn't know that.
Thanks for the heads up
Sorry, but diamonds that size are never set into a soft metal such as sterling silver.
Will do thanks
the problem started and ended with you thinking that there is such thing as a 70% off coupon for anything you want in a jewelry store, after i heard that i knew where the problem is and it wasn't zales
Haha it's okay, lesson learned. Thanks the tip 😃
Any suggestion on sites?
James Allen or Blue Nile
What you were charged for the ring is about the right price for white sapphire set in sterling silver. Sterling Siver tarnishes over time and will tarnish in a pool with chlorine or exposed to showers and soap. The salesperson must have been a real con artist to convince you it was gold with a real diamond for that price point. I also never heard of a jewelry store that give 70% off anything. Have it re-plated with rhodium to bring back the shine.
Thanks for the tip!!
Never get the "lifetime warranty" from where you bought the ring. Get ring insurance. You pay yearly and if anything happens to the ring it's all covered. This option does add up though so people don't really start to consider it unless they paid close to a grand.
Thanks for that. I didn't know that.
I wouldn’t say you got scammed by Zales! You got scammed by the jeweler.
I don’t defend Zales but let’s be real. You bought a ring with the hopes of upgrading it anyways. So why not upgrade it?
You can’t trade it up but you only spent like $150 or so anyways.
Haha no longer married now so it's all good
It's really important to do your research on what things should cost.
I'm so sorry 😞! Thank you for sharing your life story so others can learn ❤️. I would've thought that the big name stores would have to be up and up!?
Yes I didn't know that tho until recently.
So blue Nile was bought by Signet jewelers which owns Kay’s, Zales and Banter lol
What about reeds
I don’t see how you can get a real diamond ring for $150
Nobody ask you to do all that good for you and your husband 🙄
Idk obviously the guy was a liar. Idk anything about diamonds so
@@thetimeinbetween8857 I think the guy helping you was misleading. I just hope he didn’t get away with it. He was most likely trying to pull a fast one on you guys. @@kaneshacarter7790 , "Typical bad attitude quean.".
@@davidnormamendoza5206 haha yeah probably.
am sorry but you did not get sammed, a diamond that size would cost you at least 2grand, and in a white gold setting just add another grand, sorry to say but we should get knowledge on the piece we want before, and that other walmart looks fake too. you did not get scammed, you where lied to by a seller, but sad that you would believe a real ring would cost less than $200 and also didn't real the ring description.
She thought it was 70% off. It does have substantial weight and clarity, but if you know you know.
P.P.S Alao try using Mother's Mag polish for your ring!!
Your ring is just oxidized from being left in the closet. A polish would shine it right up. I'd google if white sapphire takes to silver polish well or if you need to cover it.
Thanks
‼️ I only for one question… How in the world do you get a 70% off coupon!!!!!? Plz and thank you 🙏🏻
Haha I got them in the mail. It was right before vday
Princess cut diamonds in a 14k setting for $175…absolutely NOT!
More like $5,000😂
If it sounds too good to be true, most likely it is!
What did you think you were getting for $175??? Not a diamond ring. Sorry!
I would relay your story on YELP for the store review. I would report them to the better business Bureau as well.
Lol I should have
btw the ring you bought from Walmart is not Sapphire is Cubic Zirconia which technically is a fake Diamond the Sapphire is a natural stone , you might want to get the actual Sapphire transfer to another band, because Sapphire is an expensive an natural stone.
Thanks!
They probably scammed her on the Sapphires too and gave her lab grown Saphirres. I wouldn't put it past them.
White sapphire is trash, and chain stores don't even sell quality gemstones. People need to educate themselves before making a jewelry purchase
@@tigre9271 lab grown sapphires are sapphires darling, real sapphires all stones made in the lab are genuine they are grown from actual natural stone seeds. The only difference is where it was created
Haha it's okay. I was really young and naive and pretty much lived under a rock. I knew nothing about jewelry. Lol I know a lot more now. 😭
It doesn’t sparkle. Diamonds sparkle. I would have known right then and there 😬
Haha It was in the case I it did
It looked like a cracker jack box ring 🤣 sorry sorry but it did 🤦🏻♀️ Girl please read about diamonds before you go shopping!
Sounds like the sales person wasn’t well trained or educated. I use to work for them and did not enjoy their quality so I ended up getting another jewelry job that sells quality for a better deal. Sorry for your bad experience!
It's all good!
I appreciate it 😄
Honey oh no…. They don’t set real diamonds in sterling silver yikes and the size of the stone for a real Diamond would have easily been over 10 grand… I agree that dude is a scumbag for scamming you but that price for that size stone and in sterling silver???? Not possible.
Haha I know now. Lol
Yes! I know a little more about jewelry lol
I didn't even think they existed anymore. All the malls had a Zales store. Since Malls are pretty much dead now, I can't remember the last time I saw a Zales store that was open.
I got this ring like 6 or 7 years ago. It's been awhile..now that you mentioned it though, I don't think I have seen one for awhile either.
We have a Zales. Where are malls dead? We have two plus an outlet mall
where can you get a ring like that for $150. No way you bought a diamond ring for that price at a steep discount. NO WAY.
If I were you,
Some ring settings are rare,or hard to recreate or find!!
as a man I do not know about jewelry
this is from Kay Jewelers Diamond Promise Ring 1/8 ct tw Round-cut Sterling Silver
Good for you!! Keep going! We're all rooting for you! In the future, you will understand "why" you were curled in that ball - for a reason you don't know yet, but you 'will' know and understand. Possibly to help another?
I'm sorry you were scammed. The sales guy definitely took advantage of you. He knew you didnt know anything about diamonds. Im so sorry. And to the rude people in the comments, no need to rub it in her face. She was scammed and now has learned from the experience.
Thanks. Some people just don't get I guess haha.
Wouldn't the receipt have 1. the price? and 2. the details of the ring, like what kind of metal purity, gemstones etc etc?
It didn't.
What kind of sales receipt has all the details of the product? I've never seen that before.
@@nancyning2470 Zales receipt had the item and how many carats the ring is. It should say on the receipts if it’s carats or like a stone or something g

Funny that this was posted 4 years ago, but today I found out a Tungsten ring from Zale's is not really Tungsten. It was a gift and I have had it a while, but still! Crap was like $240 and 3 jewelers have now confirmed that its not Tungsten. Apparently, I could have gotten the same thing for like $12 bucks from China
Lmfao damn that really sucks...
That's good. Yes make sure you double check, never hurts
You can buy that ring at TJ Maxx...really!
Nice
I had to sale my mom's rings when my children were small after my husband felt it better to be with his new girlfriend..15 years later and my sweet daughter just brought me a Leo diamond past present future diamond ring 1 carat and a wedding band that came with it 3/4 Leo diamonds it Appraises for over 6,000 dollars and is beautiful..She paid 1,400 she got them used from I do now I don't... it's an online site you can get a real diamond that might retail 5,000 you pay 1,000 and they have financing..so check it out..
Anyone have an opinion on Ross Simons? I buy a lot of earrings from there...mostly because they have so many styles of stuff that is non diamond cause I'm not really into the diamonds...I'm more into yellow gold hoops and such. Not asking about whether your diamonds fell out if you shop there..more of just..is their stuff real?
I can vouch for Ross-simons, they are legit. I shop there all the time.
That's clearly a white sapphire. There basically no sparkle.
Lady, Just by looking at it… that Stone is NOT Real- or Very Low grade diamond! BTW Never ever buy a Diamond with sterling silver medal..!
I’m not sure why didn’t you return everything get your refund including the insurance? I’ll be very upset close to throwing it back to their face and file a complaint
The rhodium on the silver has worn off. $25 bucks to get it dipped again.
Not a bad price
I have a feeling the boyfriend had something to do with this lol. Idk why but that instantly came to mind
Haha who knows
If I say jewelers, lawyers and car sales men, what comes to mind? BS. Right? Right? You know I’m telling the truth...
I bought Zales jewelry and diamonds they are all beautiful pieces. I do have a few white sapphire pieces and I have never seen diamonds sold in sterling- usually all white gold or gold even my .5 solitaire is in white gold. The lifetime warranty replaces diamonds not the piece itself. But the way it reflects light you can tell. I’m sorry hun the person deceived you.
Girl that looks fake smh, but for $100 what did u expect
Lol idk
never seen a Diamond big like that for only $175
Lol. I was dumb and knew nothing about jewelry 😭🤣
You had to know my ring was 20k diamonds are expensive if you really want as close to a diamond you can get for 400$ get a lab diamond my bf always says if it's too good to be true that's because it is . 90$ for a replacement diamond is also crazy there's no way
If you loose a stone do you think your entitled for a new one what if your tire fell off your car do you get a new one
Walmart is underrated … we just pay more for the names … the earrings my bf got have given me an infection ….Walmart and pandora are better than sales
Zales🙄
Haha true. We always pay for the name lol. Walmart is bomb. Lol
Did you receive anything in writing stating the materials used in making your ring?
I had some certificate it came with, but idk.what happened to it lol. I moved too much and lost the bad and the certificate
I had a similar incident. I knew the main stone in my cocktail ring was a white sapphire but I wasn’t told that the outer “diamonds” that went around the ring were not. After the third “diamond” fell out they replaced it but told me none of them were diamonds and they were also white sapphire’s. Funny part is they did replace one of the “diamonds” with a real one and you can tell which one it is due to the flaws in it 😂 🤷♀️
Omg haha too funny. You won with that.
A genuine diamond is not set in sterling silver.
First clue is that it was set in Sterling silver NOT GOLD.
Since you were actually scammed, you couldn’t just return it and got your money back or they didn’t even try to make things right for you?
They didn't they just said sorry
They should have absolutely fixed their employees mistake and refunded you. I would have called corporate 😮
Im late on the comments but it is true you about resizing the ring that’s what happened to my engagement ring After resizing the ring 2 times I started having issues with the setting of the ring😬😩 but I’m so sorry this happens to you
Thanks! That does suck though. Sorry about your ring as well
You didn’t get scammed you didn’t ask all kind of questions and read and have them test the diamonds in front of you
Girl…… its tarnish.
Haha ty and yes forsure
Coolio.
OH and know that Kay and Jared and Zales...all same company.
I paid 1800 for my ring at kay jewelrys for my husband
925 is the most common sterling silver hallmark in America. I look for 925 when ever I buy a piece of jewelry even if I'm not trying to buy silver. I don't like plated jewelry so if it's supposed to be solid gold but it has 925 on it I know that it is plated and not solid.
Just a little info for next time.
I'm so sorry that he scammed you like that.
I forgot to add gp mark for gold plated jewelry.
Ahh that is good to know. Thanks for that. I appreciate it
The same thing happened to me but with the Disney collection and supposedly they were 14k and they were lies when I took them to verify them they were lies they were not even silver and the diamonds were not real when I went to claim them they did not want to change or return them my real money, if they are scammers I will not buy from them again
Wow that sucks I'm sorry
You pay for what you get you went to Zales come on now... It's hard to find a wedding ring for $1,000 that is real and has a big huge diamond like that and they didn't tell you what diamond size neither was it a carrot 2 carats either way the money doesn't match up with the rain you should have known something wasn't right and shame on you Mr jeweler for selling fraudulent items to these poor people.
Haha I knew nothing about jewelry and I always thought until this it was a high end jeweler. I grew up so sheltered

Xxx
First of all the sales receipt would have told you what you purchased. Stop putting blame for you not looking at your receipt properly.
Okay I'll stop.

Thanks I'll look into that. ANd yeah it sucks
Silver tarnishes it's typical for it to do so if you clean it with toothpaste it usually shines up again if it's real silver
I'll trying that! Thank you for the advice

Every comment is right. Silver tarnishes. I don't know why it's used for rings. I feel bad for her. I don't trust those mall stores.
Haha I don't trust them anymore either lol. I am gonna try and clean it up once I find it haha. It's still packed up from when I moved
