In the late 70's and early 80's I had the great opportunity and pleasure to work with Dave in the NYC studios. He made my job as a recording engineer (and reformed trumpet player) very easy and enjoyable. Dave was always very professional and played great; I really looked forward to seeing him on dates. He's right about the time pressure to get it on tape (remember tape?) in a very short period of time so the cats could get to the next session, so cooperation and professionalism was very important.
    Michael, thanks for these interviews!!

Thanks for doing these interviews Michael. I have always idolized Dave especially when he coached me in some ensembles at MSM. I never told him that and I wish that I had but I think he is a true artist on the bass trombone.

Awesome! Thanks for making these! Love Dave Taylor! He is easily one of the most entertaining instrumental musicians as well as one of the smartest (although he down plays it).
