I love the tour of the villages and the historical finds, especially of WWII. The dance hall was really interesting with the trunks & clothing and pictures on the walls. Love history! I'm sure it was fun to ride the sidecar too. Great video all around! Je l'aime! (I love it)
A beautiful " ride along vlog" !❤... we've not been exploring yet around our part of France ( dept 36)..those pretty villages look wonderful and they wont be far from our place..we'll sure be visiting them when we are over next! Thankyou both for taking us along with you ❤😊
I really like your evocative footage of the dance hall. Some say you can hear the noises of the past within paintwork, your film brought that feeling to life
That was such a nice day out. I'm so glad that you succeeded in getting the motorcycle combination out for the day, too! I loved that upstairs room covered in all of those old editorial cartoons. I'd be tempted to try to retrieve them somehow, although that would probably end in a pile of plaster bits and shredded paper 😄
Peter and Anna - many thanks for the trip on the BMW motorcycle! I can understand that it causes a stir when you come around. It was some very worn stairs, to the former "virgin cage" - I lived in a place where the stairs were just as worn, but with metal cats on them! - Some amazing caricature drawings !!
I LOVE Old towns, old buildings, items, etc. Here in the 🇺🇸 I've never been able to observe anything as old as what you're showing us! Europe is so beautiful!!! Thanks to you and you tube I'm able ride down those streets, walk into those buildings and marvel at what nature and man have made!!! I feel emotional at times because I know I'll never be able to do that... Thank you so much for sharing with me! I thoroughly enjoy everything on your channel!
Lovely ride, great to see the bike and sidecar out on the road, love the beautiful town too, so much history. Will you be going to Normandy for the 80th Anniversary? It would be a long way for you to travel now I suppose. All the best. Pam. 😊
Hola love your out & about videos! I love that stove! Hi Anna, hope you're well. I've a trunk & old case & key obsession LOVE THOSE! Love the little projector, we had slide nights with our dad growing up. Its late here & just saw you as I was about to turn off. Absolutely DELIGHTFUL! 1st time in side car with Anna! Thankyou both, Love Jane Sthn Australia
Lots of stuff with a bit of history at the place that was closing down, what a shame you did not find anything to buy. Love the trip out, Thankyou for sharing Anna and Peter. How I miss my place in France😥 Loved the vlog❤
Yes now craving a coffee and a sweet treat, oh well of to my local Cafe is the best I can do, would love a local Brocante to look through too, might try & find an op-shop to suffice. Love It!
Great little journey and even better in the sidecar! Love that big copper heater!!! Do you know anyone getting ready to restore a kitchen???????? Beautiful villages.....almost like a fairytale! Cheers!
Thanks for the tour of some of your local towns. I remember when you were in Gargilesse during the pandemic and you sat on that same balcony overlooking such an interesting town having a cup of coffee or tea in the cold. I was sent to visit there two years ago by someone at Château de LaLande and recognized it as somewhere you had shown us. I have now been there twice and thought of you two on that balcony both times I was there. It was such a strange time but I was lucky enough to see Gargilesse fully open again and sat on the same balcony. Love your vlogs 😊
What a lovely day out. I’m surprised to say I recognized the first cafe from another video. Meanwhile, in real life, I never recognize places I’ve been myself 😂
Only Peter could dive into a box, pull out a random article and announce ‘that is a World War II running light’. Hang on to him Anna - the boy’s a living treasure!
That was a tour in style !! The brocante was so interesting , love all the cartoon posters on the wall ...... a step back in history. What a lovely place of the world to be in . Thanks for sharing.
Sounds great Peter you did well on repair as you do :) thanks for the drive and a little perusing the shops and town a lively little down but not overly so. Very charming area of France you live I bet you know loads of people. I hope it will be turned back into the community hall it was but these days more into modern homes. Those cars could be restored but would need a lot of fixing :) I doubt even Phil from Bailleuil would pick them up. If Anna is still sewing fabric would be something:) the old cameras and film projector is cool. That would look nice in your WC that piece. Lovely cafe (sigh) so much history is amazing and outdoor amenities/waterways.
Just lovely Peter & Anna, thanks for taking me along on your day out. What a fantastic way to travel. my dream is to but a Motorcycle with sidecar, I'm 61 & have found a couple, just needs to be the one & then I am off to slow travel Australia. Love It!
Thank you for the sidecar ride I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and the man who gave you the thumbs-up sign of approval, lol I loved that and it was good to see Miss Anna out and about with you, we have never been to France so appreciated the ride through the Town. What is a metal stirrup on the front of the sidecar for a spotlight? thanks once again for the trip, see you soon x
I, similar to another viewer did start to recognize shots as you drove into the town. I recognized the pottery store and then the cafe... That being said, I'd love to know the name of that little town so I can research it. Also, this was a fabulous video

What a lovely drive. Thanks for sharing.
The scenery is so much nicer on a motor cycle. You see so much more when not covered by a tin box.
So true, Love It!

Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you for taking us on a trip through beautiful creuse. 💕
Our pleasure!
Do either of you have a history or background in theatre or acting? Curious how you both decided to live your passion of past eras? ❤
We live history, Peter sat on two charities trusts with military and architectural backgrounds :-)
The rivers are still so high! So much rain.
What a great tour. Those streets always look so narrow to me for two cars. What year is the BMW?? Thank you so much for sharing.
1940s for the bike, so she's getting on a bit!!
I, similar to another viewer did start to recognize shots as you drove into the town. I recognized the pottery store and then the cafe... That being said, I'd love to know the name of that little town so I can research it. Also, this was a fabulous video
It is great isn't it to be familiar with thrir local town, Love It!
The towns were Argenton-sur-Creuse, and Gargilesse :-)
filled in not to make it look pretty but to preventing it rusting, as holes would be where the corrosion would set in
Master Peter, “the girls lived upstairs” do you mean it was a brothel?

Life is good
By the way, do you know why there is a large statue of a horse on the road just up from that café??
No idea but we will ask!!
@@ItsaWonderfulLife2 Thank you! I see the horse when I am leaving the village and have forgotten to ask while I was there 🥹
