Yes!
With the device in your hand.
Put the piece on the top of the shaft until it stops.
Then take a small screw drives and from the back side push the little clear plastic tab forward.
And very gently slide it down the shaft. Note! (Do Not Force It!)

The only thing I wish they did was allow you to unplug the cord from the base so you can use it free style.
Other than that I really like this stand.

It depends, but with a rational amount of pressing, like typing, the angle, the neck is placed at won't move. Its pretty stable!!

They need to make one for the new lighting connector.

Even though its not untended for car use, it works great for my situation. HAHA and I didn't even realize the tripod part which makes it even better.

I love mine but today the slider accidentally came off and for the life of me I can't put it back on. This is the second time I purchase this product. The same thing happened to the first one, but I was able to return it and get a new one. I don't have the box for this one anymore. Anybody knows how to fix this?
