      I kept thinking the same thing because hikaru kept comparing his game to an 13 year old magnus which is crazy because he had hikaru 2nd guessing himself a lot 4 years younger than magnus’ LOST but honestly since I think magnus is his antithesis he will always put him at 1 and degrade and downplay anyone who is suppose to be the next one or better that’s why he goes in on hans so much because he feels like no one should be able to do to magnus what he feels he can’t 🤷🏽‍♂️ so this kid at NINE having a 2878 rating and even being able to play with hikaru is amazing honestly

      @@redstarkboxingsportsnews4289 I don't think he's necessarily comparing him to 13 yr old magnus... i think the point he's trying to make is until he sees that spark, that moment, similar to what he (and the world) saw when magnus was 13, there's no telling whether he's going to be of that level or not. All he's saying is over the next few years he'll be looking for that spark, not that he hasn't seen it yet so he must not be as good as magnus.

    Faustino just made 2360 elo and made the youngest ever IM norm, at 9 years old, he went 6.5 out of 9 in a tournsment with 2 of the strongest GMs in South America, won 4 games and didn't lose any. This is the most cringie video I've seen from Hikaru. Faustino at his age is clearly better than Magnus, Kasparov or Fischer at the same age. Time will tell what happen, there are many factors that can change things, but this is a fact.

    • @albo_ar
      @albo_ar 9 месяцев назад +1

      Why cringie? Hikaru is making very good arguments about the future of Faustino

    • @amigosXcorrespondenc
      @amigosXcorrespondenc 9 месяцев назад +9

      @@albo_ar Nah he was just rambling and underestimating him, in my opinion. He doesn't habe to praise him, but at least try to be nice, he is just a kid. But yeah, masters usually don't praise eachother, remember Giri saying that "Magnus's games wasn't expectacular or anything", so, I won't murder Hikaru for this, it's just normal.

      A good example is the 3 year old that was like 1500 and now he's like 20 and 1100. Growth of children is unpredictable maybe he can't handle the pressure and quits or finds a new hobby or maybe he peaks in the mid grandmaster range. What is your rating if I mind asking because you seem to not understand the depths of the highest levels of play

      _"Time will tell what happen, there are many factors that can change things,"_
      That's exactly what Hikaru was saying. He didn't see that "wow" factor during those games but time will tell. He also said he was amazing for his age and there was 100% chance he would become a GM.
      He's just not on the future World Champ hype train yet.
