    Great netting, incredible defense, perfect sideline smashes and perfect placement of back shots, this performance is just like his prime time a few years back :') so proud that he's still giving his all.

    holy molly this is one of the best final in the year, LCW played SO FREAKING WELL in this series, the movements, choice of shots, confidence, in no way CL played a bad game, LCW just outplayed and did everything right one step ahead! Congrats on the first China Open title!

    What was incredible was a complete lack of elation in Lee Chong Wei after beating Lin Dan and Chen Long. Nothing says I mean business than a lack of emotion upon success. It was clear that LCW was playing more to prove that he's still got what it takes than to just win this title, which happened as a happy side effect. Great game and an even greater player!

  • @SealDoggo

    Chen Long didn't perform at his best, but still average. Meanwhile Lee Chong Wei was very confident with his shot which brought him better defense and great accuracy in the attacking plays. Great game LCW, we have been waiting for so long.

    for those who think cl lose on purpose, there's no way china would do this like for God sake, it's china open not just any tournament, IT'S THEIR PRIDE!! If they wanna do that, they could've just let lcw won in previous tournament. I think it's just that LCW played at his best and CL is under alot of pressure and he did tons of mistake.

First you say no one can beat Chen and now that Lee Chong Wei did, you know you're just making excuses. Just accept the fact that LCW is still on top! It is sad to hear people saying that LCW won over LD and CL just because of luck. When LCW won, he did win bc of his great performance. Even if he won because CL did not play well, it was LCW's great defense and other factors which made CL losing confidence and not playing well.

    CL was forced to make those uncharacteristic mistakes. LCW's defence was formidable, it frustrated CL, hence he had to search for perfect shots, he attempted to smash down the lines but got them wide most of the time. LCW kept coming back with great variation and intense speed plus accuracy; that caught CL. This is one of the tournaments where LCW played very well. Credit goes to him

    What I love about LCW/Lin D/Chen Long is that they are cool, don't have attitude like Danish players showing fists to opponents on most of the winning rallies while staring in the eyes. Come on, time to grow up. You can never be a true champion with such attitude. A lot from young generation are watching you and learning from you.

    There's no way that LCW hasn't been doping. His smashes are faster than Jorgensen's and his stamina is even better than Chen Long. I don't think he was as good as this when he's in his 20s.

    • @pham1020
      @pham1020 9 лет назад +1

      +ISoLAteD w I think LCW in 2010-2012 was better.Especially, he won 11 titles out of 12 finals in 2010.

      Quang Pham I know he was good but i think his stamina and strengthis even better right now(especially after played 90 minutes against Lin Dan yesterday)

    • @pham1020
      @pham1020 9 лет назад

      ISoLAteD w He is incredibly fast for a 33 yrs old but he could only speed up on some occasion in this match where LCW back then played at the high speed back all the time which required more stamina. And I think he's always been having powerful smashes. He did the same thing against LD in 2011.

    • @michaeltimmermans2159
      @michaeltimmermans2159 9 лет назад +1

      ***** Most successful senior players tend to use more drop shots,net shots. But LCW is still hitting lots of hard smashes and able to do it multiple times during a rally. I think his boody shape is similar with Lin and Gade: thin limbs, small bones but very powerful. Lin and Gade also have better personels and facilities to help them maintain their form. His genes might be too good if that's because of genetics.

    • @michaeltimmermans2159
      @michaeltimmermans2159 9 лет назад +2

      Quang Pham i think he was pressuring chen long all the time during this match. because he lost mst of the matches against lin and chen after the olympics. it's very strange that he could play in high speed and beat both of them in two consecutive days. if his current form is not better than 5 years ago, it's at least better than 5 monthes ago. i don't think it's reasonable for a 33 year old.

    • @pham1020
      @pham1020 9 лет назад +4

      +melaleuca revolution gold CL at his worst and can beat Viktor easily in 2 straight games and made it to the Final? CL just may not be at his best but not at his worst.

    • @melaleucarevolutiongold
      @melaleucarevolutiongold 9 лет назад

      +Quang Pham Your opinion is that a player's level of performance should be highly steady and not fluctuating throughout a tournament. While I accept that CL's performance has indeed been so for quite a long time, during this particular match he did seem to have lost his usual control - both psychologically and physically. Just look at all the unforced errors, suddenly succumbed to lots of LCW's powerful smashes (either missing a smash or fending it off in poor quality, enabling LCW to secure a kill), etc. It's not like him any more. What lies behind all this I just can't figure out, but he was certainly at his worst, at least for the past couple of years.

    • @iliketobreakdance1
      @iliketobreakdance1 9 лет назад +1

      +melaleuca revolution gold CL wasnt at his worst. Those shots may have scored to other opponents. LCW kept receiving his shots.

    • @pham1020
      @pham1020 9 лет назад

      melaleuca revolution gold CL only made errors in the last half of the 2nd match. But it was obvious for the reason behind it. LCW's defense this time was superb and that caused CL to get frustrated and made errors as he was attacking to get back in the game. The similar scenario happened in WC 2015 final when LCW was winning in the first game and CL started to attack and got back to the game. LCW at that time couldnt stopped CL's attack but this time he did that excellently which was the key to defeat CL. If CL was at his worst then it just meant that LCW forced CL to play his worst and won the match deservedly. It was the same thing happened in olympics 2008 final because LCW at that time was much stronger that how we saw him lost to LD. Its the strategy and mental game.

    • @melaleucarevolutiongold
      @melaleucarevolutiongold 9 лет назад

      +DatDetermination Doe He was at his worst. Just look at how many times his smashes / shots hit outside the court and how many times he missed LCW's. All this is inconsistent with his usual performance during the past couple of years.
