Been out of yugioh for a year or so. Glad to see you still uploading you’ve been my go to since I started playing yugioh. I’m excited to get going again. I’ve missed deck building and my all time favorite deck orcust!!!
Can’t believe prank kids is still top tier TBH tried my hand on the deck not long ago but the solitaire play style plus consistently relaying on the same combo got old fast ended up scraping all the URs in the deck for something more fun and versatile.
I hope dark magician deck gets the new support that was relased recently for the deck. Also Madolche is really fun to play but sometimes when the enemy cancel your key cards it´t hard to turn the the board around.
Hey Sean, i have played drytron in this season 5, only win 8/20 and relized that drytron is not a good deck to keep win streak to reach plat1. Its easy to brick hand and if you are going second while doesnt have any handtrap, you lose. You are going first, you got so many handtrap, also lose. Dont know why drytron still top tier even its unstable
Couldn't tell you personally, I don't play Drytron. But their performance is very high for a reason. One of the challenges with trying to learn a Meta deck is that you're often going to run into players who know how to beat it. Keep at it.
Can’t relate, Drytron is both consistent and capable of breaking boards. I don’t even run ultimateness/perfection and I preemptively cut benten to 1 and I’m still very positive winrate, and I don’t think I’m that good of a pilot either. Heraldless Drytron isn’t top tier but as long as eva exists, herald Drytron will remain top tier even with benten limited
I'm actually kinda surprised that Burning Abyss hasn't topped anything yet. It actually can put up a good fight against many rogue and meta decks if played right. At least that's my expierience from ranked, where I can consistently get to the highest rank with it. Maybe I should enter a tournament for once :D
Yeah, they‘re really only used as extenders in PKs. I was more thinking of pure BA. I‘m playing Trap BA with some Fairy Tail Snows teched in. They have some very good controltools and easily get to cards like Utopic Draco Future. They also have some easy Zeus lines and the Cir - Dante Loop can go on for ages. So I‘m legit surprised that didn’t have any tops at all. I can definitely see that they’re not top tier, but no tops at all is surprising to me
Yeah Grass is a good option, or you can try to mill it with Dante or send it with Beatrice. It’s also a good discard fodder for some of your traps. So it definitely has it‘s uses in that deck!
I love bird-up (tri-lyrilusc), I really do but it's really easy to see why really inconsistent in the MD format right now: The deck can't play vs Maxx C at all. Even putting one negate requires 5+ special summons for the overwhelming majority of your hands. It sometimes has some plays where you can go to Apex Avian with 2 SSs but it requires you to have fraktall and use it to send Nervall, which isn't how you want to with your combo lines if your opponent doesn't have Maxx C (even if they have ash or another hand trap), and even if you have your opponent will probably first chain to an effect of an lyrilusc that special summons a monsters, which you can't even use for anything if you want to go for aforementioned Apex Avian line. Your 2 plays when Maxx C'ed are basically either taking the challenge or setting Nervall and passing. Of the top tier decks, even other combo ones fare better vs Maxx C: Drytron's end board has enough negates that they might still win, Tri-Zoo doesn't SS that much and can protect itself with many hand traps it runs, and most other decks have smaller combos that SS less but still end on a negate/floodgate monster, maybe besides Adamancipators.
@@SeanVS they do use Ash and called by, but if you don’t draw it and your opponent Maxx c’s you, you just lose. I don’t think that’s the case for say Tri-zoo or drytron. For crossout, bird-up has limited space for non-engine cards (especially compared to Tri-zoo), so dedicating that many slots to anti-handtraps would really worsen the deck’s go second winrate. Admittedly it might be confirmation bias since I feel really salty when I lose to Maxx C.
@@Madolcheplayer No no it makes a lot of sense. The format is defined by Ash + Maxx C atm. The problems you're describing are very similar to the issues pendulum decks have.
and im surprised you put blackwings the worst out of the winged beast archetypes, wheres you have others like dragunity which are far better or even raid raptors. and also i think you forgot d/d/d? as well
also melfy tribrigade is also a good pick, its much more consistent and recursive than the lyrilisk version while having more disruption than the pure one and more consistent, the only downside is that its a little easier to interupt
Drytron auto lose vs Winda, Revolt cannot activate when Winda is on the field (since it requires 2 special summon), Adamancipator auto lose vs Winda, Virtual World would have a very tough time outing Winda, that's why Shaddoll is still crazy good
Umm I'm using a Despia deck in Master Duel currently and I am Diamond 1 so I'm confused how it's at the bottom tier lol. I destroy sword soul and Eldlich... Tri brigade and danger are trash. This is a bad tier list
Wow, I'm surprised that Endymion is tier 5. Endymion is the deck going with now, it's pricey but extremely fun to play. Pendulum need more support and a little bit of diversity type. Infernoble Knight is amazing as well.
I LOVE endymion But the main problem, in my opinion, is you need to play as many pendulum cards as possible to remain consistent but that doesn't leave room for counters like handtraps/negates to help get the play off. Instead the deck has to just play through disruption and hope it makes it through. But in this day and age, especially with Maxx C, that's very hard to do.
Cyber Dragons, Dark Magician and Toon. The decks I have and guess what? 😂 Meta decks sucks, btw. The funny thing for me is to play with decks I like (and for the looks of things, every single one of them are absolutely trash right now.) 😂
Hey Sean, I have a question, what are low budget decks that can be played as Rogue, currently I am considering running a Fallen Albaz or a D/D/D deck for fun.
Hey GXRaider - Problem is being rogue doesn't mean budget and those decks you've mentioned aren't cheap. If you're willing to spend that many resources on a D/D/D or a Fallen Albaz deck you'd be better off investing something that's proven to work such as the decks on this tier list. Other than that, I would recommend trying an archetype that can be mixed with other decks.

Their ability to grind is pretty good
Prank kids have 2 ur's in the core deck what did u even scrap ??
Whats your opinion on Red Dragon Archfiend
Amazing Tier list, thank you
No problem!
Gj as always bringing tournie results to the players.
No worries!

Yup it's always had that problem for years now
Great video and thanks for adding timestamps

I feel like your drytron deck might need refining. Most I come up against can play through 2 negates
Can’t relate, Drytron is both consistent and capable of breaking boards. I don’t even run ultimateness/perfection and I preemptively cut benten to 1 and I’m still very positive winrate, and I don’t think I’m that good of a pilot either.

Season 5 Baby!
I’ll make you add my deck to the tier list
Hmmm idk because zootri should still be top tier
Witchcraft?

BAs are used in Phantom Knights but only the ones that give more summons

What about dark lords?
What about despia dark lord
Didn't seem them top or win at all.
also did you forget completely about some other link decks like mathmechs, unchained or live twin?
also theres code talkers i don't remember you talking about it might have missed it

Winda is very good, but it's not an auto-win.
Revolt can be activated
The 4 summons counted as one
Cuz with maxx c u r getting 1 card only
the question is, can you use Winda before they use their meta card?

for decks that have been placing higher on tournaments

LOL already outdated as massive wave of cards coming out
Im already at diamond 4 with good old numeron deck, its waay stronger than a tier 5
No diamond is just really easy to hit I hit with a toon deck
This whole tierist is based on what tournament results exactly?
Its in the description
I feel like infernobles is top tier
I have a much more powerful DragonMaid deck that I’ve been dominating with. Super fast and consistent
Keep it up! I would love to see Dragonmaids perform better this season.
This game become bad due to the negate.
More powerful decks don't see the light because it doesn't have negate effect.
