  • Partnering up with ‪@DarksideOffRoad‬, Ridgeback Guide Service (for day 1) and my friend Jamie, this 3 day trip through Vermont and New Hampshire completely changed my understanding of the North (of me) East. I went in thinking these states had no trails. But Class 4 roads like Chateauguay Road remapped my perception and showed me what incredible fun these states have to offer! Camping in the Green Mountains, some good food and good times with some of the best people on earth. You're going to want to lock in and watch this series!

      He had to of had a good time with you. I'm like a month or less to your channel and can't get enough so far. Being I'm disabled and on disability it takes me a long with you guys on your trips. I have a channel I got started wile in the service. And driving a BIG RIG OTR ( OVER THE ROAD ) WAS HOME 1 WEEKEND AND IN A BAD AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT and nearly lost or could have lost my right leg. Buttttt they put a bunch of steel inside of it so I still have a leg thank God, but I have a 4x4 I can't do much of and thing with. I have a friend that says he will paint it the colors I want it painted, I just can't find any one to help with the mechanical issues. ½ of the truck will be painted as the American Flag the other ½ will be painted as the Congederate Flag

    Went out wheeling at Plymouth 5 corners last fall. Buddy of mine lives and has a shop (Tyson Autoworks) right down the road... great trails out through there... was cool to see it in a RUclips vid!

    Awesome video guys. I live a few miles from Bridgewater and can confirm Chataguey is no joke. Hurricane Irene changed the whole road. Its worth mentioning there that it definitely rains a lot in the summer and spots on Chataguey are prone to flash flooding. Safe travelins and I hope you get the chance to explore more of the green mountains! They never disappoint.

    Class 4 roads may be public ways, but the land bordering them is private

    You should try the "OLD FLORIDA TRAIL" IF I remember correctly it starts in Vermont and ends over in Mass.. It goes over a nice MTN. AND HAS A BEAUTIFUL VIEW FROM THE TOP POINT....

    Chataguey is my home trail. We learned how to drive on there as 12 and 13 year Olds. Hurricane Irene definitely changed it. In 2008 I could drive my stock tacoma all the way through to barnard where my camp is. Let me know if you guys come back, I can show you some more trails. Safe travels

    • @DirtRoadTherapy
      @DirtRoadTherapy  Год назад +1

      Still PA based. The best “hidden” stuff I’ve found is up around Moshannon. There’s not really much legal wheeling in the state that isn’t private property.

      @@DirtRoadTherapy Oh that's great to know! I'm based on VA and have been wanting to venture that way. It seems I'll really have to plan accordingly if wanting to wheel out there.

      If you’re looking for a challenge, the parks like AOAA and Rausch Creek are the way to go. If you’re looking to explore, camp, see beautiful things and maybe cross a river or splash through some mud the whole middle of the state is mapped state forest land. Check out Purple Lizard Maps for for the latter, or join the DRT patreon and I can share my private tracks with you.

    • @DirtRoadTherapy
      @DirtRoadTherapy  Год назад +1

      My XJ is on 33’s with lockers front and rear. Tim’s JL and Ron’s JK are on 35’s and have front and rear lockers. Jamie’s WJ is on about a 32” and has the Quadradrive system which is basically posi front and rears

      @@DirtRoadTherapy Great info, thank you! I am considering something similar to take my family through maybe later this year, not sure if a tundra would be too big for it, I don't mind pinstripes, as long as it's not too difficult, and kids friendly, it will be perfect for me.

    • @DirtRoadTherapy
      @DirtRoadTherapy  Год назад +1

      You would be fine on these trails in a Tundra with acceptance of some pin striping. The JK and JL are every bit as wide at the tires, and probably just a little lighter. The advantage they have is the body being narrower
