The reason is sugar. Most carbs have a little, while pure sugar is straight sugar. If you don't consume sugar, your body's natural tooth repair system works. Even the ancient Romans, who did have dried fruit and other kinds of dietary sugar but just not a lot, had 50% less dental pathology than modern humans, according to forensic surveys of ancient populations. Unfortunately, most processed food today has some level of added sugar. Only raw veggies and meat don't have it added. Modern people are raised to expect sugar in their food, and that's the problem. Under the right conditions, cavities can actually reverse if they haven't already become a physical hole, but most people today wouldn't have the awareness, patience or diet to achieve this.
How to reverse cavity ? Any toothpaste pls name it .....I have sensation also in another teeth while drinking cold water or eating any sugar product even after filling ..what I do...pls suggest
@@Sanjana_0_6 Cavities do reverse if there isn't already a hole, but the main ingredient is time. And time doing the right things. Think of it this way: if you break a leg, how long does it take to heal? That's the time frame you are looking at to reverse cavities. Most people's saliva have the chemical ions needed to repair caries, but you must have a perfect diet without sugar of any sort, brush with any fluoride toothpaste, and those things alone, WITH TIME, will sclerose and remineralize cavities. I've seen even huge cavities that have invaded half a tooth (but have no hole, all internal), repair themselves. But the level of conscientiousness involved to do this is far, far beyond the ability of most people today. At least with a broken leg you can see results day-by-day, - with a cavity you can't really see anything. This is why no dentist will even bother to reverse cavities: people simply cannot do it reliably. It is far easier to (1) not get cavities in the first place, or (2) resign yourself to a dentist tearing up your tooth to fill it.

Same. I didn't go to the dentist for 2 years, and come back with 5 cavities and 4 "watches," so teeth that will eventually become cavities. $1200+ later 🙄
2:38 He was literally caught and apologized for lying to everyone about his diet and he used steroids… You definitely shouldn’t listen to him about your teeth 😂
Some people do seem to be almost immune to cavities. Others like me get them very easily. I do see that eating less carbs helps a lot, more than other things for me personally, more than brushing.
personally suffering with cronic/persistent depression and pure laziness I've gone months without brushing my teeth multiple times over years and the only cavities i got was on one tooth where I physically couldn't brush (my gum was covering a bit of my tooth)
Noticed I have what I can research to be enamel loss on my teeth, see some RUclips videos but I would really feel informed or reassured if you could make a video on it!
You are so adorable, I wish you were my orthodontist but I don’t think you were born yet. Anyhow, fluoride is toxic waste and yes it hardens our enamel but, the neurological damage it causes is almost irreversible. I haven’t used fluoride toothpaste in decades. I drink my well water only. Eat out of my yard only. I brush once every couple of days with a little baking soda and a splash of peroxide. I haven’t had cavities. I no longer have migraine headaches. There’s a lot. You are an awesome guy, don’t ever stop!!❤️
Bentist I have a question do u have to brush your teeth with a special tooth paste for your braces and if you do not and you use regular toothpaste will you still have glue on your teeth when you get your braces off I have another question when you get your braces will your dentist whiten your teeth so you can not see the glue
Yeah I got 3 cavities while brushing teeth and eating candy 3-5 years later I’ve brushed my teeth prolly barely 30 times the cavities barely grew I drink a lot of water some soda no fruit
Soooo Liver king is possibly a bit of a fraud.. BUT ignoring him there's a couple of things to consider: 1. Meat/Carnivore dramatically decreases your cavity 'creation' and Bentist mentioned that 2. Eating real meat actually kind of flosses in between your teeth too if you don't just go for the hyper tender pieces (as we would in nature) 3. Eating again tough meat and not just the tender steaks means a LOT more exertion of your jaw structure/muscles. This not only creates a good workout for your gums but also helps position your teeth better in your mouth aka less chance of crooked teeth So I would buy it if someone on a carnivore diet did NOT need to brush their teeth AND would not get a stinky breath. Btw I believe it was proven that hunter gatherer tribes almost always had impeccable teeth
1:28 Are there any downsides to that? If no, then why are we not doing this as a standard practice? (well, besides the fact that dentists would not be happy to have less patients)
Yeah i forget to brush teeth all the time. I actually forget it more often than not aaaaand except for two very small ones i had pretty much since I got my new teeth I haven't had any cavities yet. But to be fair, I usually brush over them with my tongue and clean them all of the time because wven the slightest bit of dirt on them is annoying to me
@@alondramcclendon204 okay not dirt I meant stuff like stuff between my teeth or stuff sticking to my teeth even if its just the slightest bit that you won't notice unless your like me and constantly check the rooms between your teeth out of boredom or because i simply can't stop.
@@BunnySpaceMachine yeah it is but by the time i get home or leave the table after eating i usually got rid of the most annoying stuff so I don't even bothe r brushing

I have a lot saliva, can confirm. I only brush 1-2 times a month. But i have a habit to floss teeth while bathing, by using the lotus shower head. Brush teeth normal way is actually harm my teeth more. In the genetic, my mom also not always brush teeth and still have better smile than dad.

If I didn't brush my teeth for 2 days I'd probably get 50 cavities
Your teeth would probably get sticky. And you'll have to brush longer than 2 minutes. 3 to 4 minutes to get all the large amount of plaque build up.

The same can be with gum disease. Some people only brush their teeth and never floss their gums. And never develop gum diseases or gum recession.
That’s like going to wars and not getting shot or hurt
