Honestly it kinda does bother me… will be playing eventually but achievements do make a game more fulfilling to show that you’ve actually done specific tasks.
Same here in Playstation achievements are the ahit they show your skill since you can't cheat as for pc yeah achievements are irrelevant since anyone can use wemod and Xbox well most games are available on pc so we mod too

PSVR2 owner here. The first disappointment was that it was not backwards-compatible with the first one. The next one was the lack of compelling software. And now it's dead. A $500 paperweight.
It was never going to be backwards compatible that's obvious from the hardware. Support has been dreadful. VR overall has been disappointing. Still looking forward to the PC adapter so can at least finally try Half Life.
PSVR's whole purpose wasn't to grow and promote VR. It was purely something Sony could present shareholders and claim, they have "the world's best VR hardware on the market". Nothing more, nothing less. Remember, Sony is an electronics company first and foremost. And they weren't competing with Xbox. They were competing with Meta, Apple and Google on who has (had) the best cutting edge VR hardware at the time. PSVR fulfilled it's short-lived purpose and is now being abandoned because it was never about the games, or bringing VR to the masses and expanding it.
Sony did it to themselves by screwing over the early adapters. The older PSVR games were not playable anymore with the new headset and the line up of new games was dramatically less than the predecessor. That’s how you get customers wanting to to stick your new product where the sun don’t shine.
There are many modern day game features that are “not necessary” but after the standard has been raised it would be nice to see developers keep up in order to provide the best experience possible for their fans.

That's a shame because in a hard game like a Soulslike, getting a PSN trophy for beating a boss adds an extra layer of achievement.
