    Why does does it need to rotate? An orchard near me grows blackberries with two fixed long arms. No need to transfer arms after floricanes are done fruiting.

      We utilize the rotation system so 1) the canes can be lowered and covered during freeze events 2) canes can be trained in such a way that with the rotation they only flower and fruit on one side of the plant. This reduces sunburn of the fruit and keeps it cooler during harvest.
