Thanks very much. Your VDO makes me see how it works. That's useful.

What is the purpose of the two valves upstream and downstream of the injector? It appears the main inline valve is all you need. Please explain.

I think correct me if I’m wrong that you did not mention to dry fit everything before glueing to make sure all your lengths are equal

You risk missing to glue a dry joint and having a leak or worse still a blowout.

I built one of these but it will not work with the amount of emitters I have. I am using about 50-60 half gallon emitters.

It is possible that you don't have enough flow through the system to run the venturi. Check the flow rating for the venturi you have and consider if a 'low flow' model might work better.

What is the 2 ball valves for on venturi side

How do you calculate the flow rate using the pressure difference?

Do you recommend installing a particulate filter like from a sprinkler system?

    Dude!
I spent a half a year to make an 32mm KPE pressure valve set but the sunction is just not working.
Could you please spend some time with me in a call, to make it happen?
    Thanks!

Make sure that the short pass thru pipe (black) that has the chemical draw line is a smaller size than the main lines in the system. Venturi suction is created when liquid from a larger line 'constricts' or squeezes to pass through a smaller line... kinda like putting your finger at the end of a hose to shoot water higher creates a higher velocity. That velocity draws the liquid into the system. Research 'venturi effect'.

I made two of these for my raised beds. I have them attached to digital hose timer. They both seem to siphon water from my bucket but when the water turned off the water flows out of the siphons tube.
I dont have the 2 ball valves on the sides is that necessary?
Also do you keep your water on?
To be clear my set up is in this order from the water source:
    Anti siphon valve
    water hose
    Venturi siphon
    Drip filter
    water hose
    Drip timer

I have to admit that my head is spinning trying to figure that chart! I have two Amazon cheapies running in my home build injectors, and one dies great, the other barely sucks up fluid at all. How do you find what your water pressure is to begin the process of picking the right Mazzei.

Is the half inch reduction necessary for the Mazzei to work properly?

    • @ARfruitveg
      @ARfruitveg  2 года назад

Great question, Tim! The reason for the half inch reduction was to accommodate the size of threads for this particular Mazzei injector. Since both ends were ½ inch threads, we reduced the size from the main line to ½ inch to make hooking up the injector simple. However, if the injector had the same size fittings as the main line, there would be no need to reduce the line size down. As long as the injector has sufficient inlet pressure, flow rate through the injector itself, and sufficiently lowered outlet pressure, the injector will be able to inject fertilizer into the main system still. There are also some great data sheets and brochures that also help explain how to choose which injector will best fit your needs, here is an example for Mazzei injectors: www.mazzei.net/sites/default/files/files/US-Combined%20Tabless%20REV-G-Secured.pdf

Thanks, nice video, did y’all do any research around how much liquid (fertilizer ) this set up was able to pull (suck up from bucket) “tuned” and at different valve settings? If so and could share that would be great in helping us newbies calculate the strength of our fertilizer tanks/buckets. Thanks again for this video, anyone in the audience that can help me that would be awesome too :)
