CITG is a brilliant album. Santa Ana Winds, Slander, Jackie Don’t Go, Half Life, the title track . . all great songs. Incredible vocal harmonies, tight solos. Just as good as the EOTT album.
Dave needs to write a book. I know his time in survivor was only from 77-83 I think but I am sure he has a lot of interesting stories about recording and touring
I think there should of been more hits off of Eye of the tiger. Such as American Heartbeat, children of the night, feels like love or even not that man anymore. All hit worthy tracks. American Heartbeat if u really listen to from lyrics to the beat and arrangement it could be considered as eye of the tiger part 2. I’m really surprised actually that they use that song too along with eye of the tiger in the movie. Both songs go really well together. A also think caught in the game is a very underrated record. It’s a bit heavier to me than eye of the tiger record and Dave’s vocals are just as good. Caught in the game and Jackie don’t go are the two standout tracks for me, but there are others.
Dave is,was, and will always be the original rock voice for Survivor....Jimi was killer, but Dave set the bar so high....i do not compare the 2 , both incredible in their own right....i think dave got the shaft a bit though ... just an opinion

Caught in the game IS pretty cool Dave, indeed. Great record, and the single caught in the game is probably the best track survivor ever cut.
David has a wonderful voice. I still would like to also say R.I.P to Jimi Jamison. Gone for 10 yrs now at only age 62. Happy to see Dave Bickler..

Agreed, my favorite from Caught in the game has to be Santa Ana Winds...just emotional, sad, beautiful, and as always Dave is a monster on the vocals

I have always preferred Survivor with Dave singing. They had a harder sound, bit more of a solid rock coming from them.
Survivor was on Solid Gold so many times because their management group also produced the show.
