    Didn't think Nebraska could be exposed anymore than we already were but who knew we didn't have a decent backup QB that could move the ball. Even when Casey was in, he was missing targets and looked like he was throwing ducks.

      It is winning football that you practice from day one of the program! It’s an identity! We need to go back to this! It may take time to get personal but we would know what we’re about! Need the I formation and option then some beautiful play action passes! Time of possession is a great thing!

      @@quinnschroetlin The wishbone is still utilized in FBS and High school ball. Fact is it takes a real durable QB to run that type of attack and frankly not many are interested in getting hit all the time especially at the D-1 level and NFL. I prefer the RPO style of offense simply because it's so dynamic and exciting. The Pro Set that WHIP and many others run is quite frankly boring. In this games case, we had a NON Existent run game and so the pass was all we had to be effective. Despite the shortcomings of Oline blocking ability coupled with the fact Casey apparently is the only one who can throw with any level of precision. Purdy was pathetic and Smothers.... Well I'm unclear why he still thinks he's a QB, the man has wheels and should be a receiver at this point. The program is a disaster and MJ is NOT the poo. Our defense thought, have to take your hat off to them as they contained that illini group to just field goals. Not too shabby for a group that's not rated very high. Over all the offense was not at this game for UNL. Had it been Illinois would have had their hands full with that pass threat. GBR

      @@quinnschroetlin Michigan has a power running game. I think it takes time and if you do it from day one the players and program get good at it... you need an identity. Osborne got shut down in bowl games but didn't blow up his offense... but the system works to get wins and get the right athletes it will work vs any defense.

      @HelloThere6043 2 года назад +4

      Big difference between 5 years to build your program and 6 weeks. Frost had plenty of time to get this program off the ground. He had no passion. What's so funny to me is that 3 weeks ago everybody wanted Mickey Joseph as our next HC and now all of a sudden he is the worst because he's lost to 2 RANKED opponents, and Purdue, who will most likely be ranked at some point in the season. The loss to Purdue is understandable, the reason we lost was because our top 3 defensive players were out. Had that not happened 2 weeks ago, and Casey didn't get injured, we would've only had one more loss on our schedule (Michigan). Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota are all jokes this year. But I will agree that the offensive line is complete garbage, and needs to be trained better. We need Mickey Joseph in that locker room, he brings passion, and positivity to the table, something that Frost DEFINITELY did not have. The one thing that Mickey is lacking is experience, he honestly cannot do much worse than Nebraska is doing right now, what better way to get experience than a rebuild? As far as Trev Alberts not wanting Frost there, I'm afraid you're mistaken. Trev came into an already messed up Nebraska program, he wanted to change that by giving Frost a contract extension to hopefully motivate him to turn things around. He didn't, so he was fired. That's how business works.
