The Gibson SG standard has been an iconic guitar for decades now with famous players such as Angus Young and that bloke from the Stereophonics swearing by them. Epiphone are the sibling company of Gibson and this, the G400 Pro, is Epiphone's official SG standard replica.
The Limited Edition Epiphone SG 400 Pro utilises Mahogany as the main wood of the instrument and both the neck and body are crafted from Mahogany. The fret-board is in Rosewood and is decorated with attractive pearl trapezoidal inlays. The pick-ups are twin Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers with passive electronics and these are controlled by their own tone and push-pull volume pots that double as coil-tap activators.
The Epiphone SG G-400 Pro Limited edition has a tune-o-matic bridge and Wilkinson 14:1 ratio machine heads whilst the bridge and tailpiece are Nickel plated. This limited edition version of the G400 features a full body pickguard. The pickups are mouted directly the scratchplate (eliminating the need for pickup surrounds), just the way Gibson used to make 'em back in 1966! The body of this limited edition model is finished in a attractive Alpine White, adding to the guitar's vintage charm. At this kind of price, what's the point of going for a cheap copy when you can have the Limited Edition Epiphone G400 Pro...it's as close to the real thing as your gonna get and even says Gibson on the headstock, albeit in teeny weeny writing!

Love the Fender shirt for this review.
I've played the first twice at guitar center and it feels great and sounds great to me I'm going to getting one here soon. I'm not a huge fan of Gibson for a couple reasons but I do know they are the same company and I've always gotten better quality out of a Epiphone.
This guitar sounds so good! Wish they had it at more stores.
cool guitar,cool tones
I have a 1991 Epiphone Gibson SG Korina and its a beast of a guitar man love it\,,/
Good playing and informations,Thanks a lot..BTW-nice combinations with the pickups.

i just got this and it sounds awesome! well i have two SG guitar one from Aria Pro II and one from Epiphone and to be honest epiphone one is lighter and abit nicer! anyone thinking about buying this gooo!!! you wont regret it!!!!
Well, since mcr and green day basically use an lp kinda setup on most songs i'd say the lp custom pro. plus imo the lp custom pro looks sick in white!
I'm looking to get one of these in white, all I can find are the cherry and ebony versions, anyone know where I could get one of these?
Does anyone know what amp he's using? Or what would be a good low priced amp I could use with this guitar?
should i buy epiphone sg g400 pro or an jackson js32r?
which should i get? that the lp standard ebony or les paul jr alpine white?\
really want one! can anyone suggest this sg or the vintage vs6, much appreciated :)
Looks to me like the left-handed model in the insert is NOT the Po model
Not the best amp sound I think.
He kinda looks a bit like David Gilmour ;)
