To prevent Braava jet® from going into other rooms, an invisible barrier can be created with Virtual Wall® Mode so that the robot will avoid cleaning part of a room or a different floor type. You can also use Virtual Wall Mode to divide a larger room into smaller areas to help Braava jet clean more efficiently.

Does think virtual wall mode work with the other braava mops?

1. How long does jet work with virtual wall mode? (run time)
2. If i want to divide a larger area into smaller areas, how far is the virtual line would be?

What's the solution for blocking off multiple areas? open floorplan home has hardwood i don't want to touch outside of the kitchen. surroundeds the tile in three places. will any of my roomba virtual walls work?

iRobot the question was “can multiple areas be blocked off in any way?” If a kitchen has a room to the left, right, and forward and each of those rooms has a surface you don’t want cleaned but none have a door, I understand you can create a virtual barrier and start the machine at (let’s say) the left barrier. But will the machine then go to the room on the right and the room forward when it’s through with the kitchen or is there a way to block them too? It’s unclear.

Great question! Braava jet robot mop can only create 1 Virtual Wall.
