    I’m fortunate enough to have found my heart horse, Buckwheat, who is 22 years old but don’t tell him that! He competed in rodeos for the majority of this life doing all the roping events and has even been used as a police horse. Within the past year I have found him and he has taught me so much, skills that no other being on this planet could. He is in great condition physically and mentally and loves barrel racing! I’m just getting into it and I almost have as much fun as Buckwheat does. So thank you Fallon for re-validating that having an underdog horse of sorts can and will change your life for the better. I wouldn’t be the same if Buckwheat didn’t come into my life and everyday at the barn I’m grateful for him and his heart. ❤️

    My horse was in auction 7 times and we rescued her she was abandoned because no one likes her because she has string-halt. Now I have taught her the barrel pattern she is great it’s winter here in Alberta Canada so I can’t really ride her a lot it’s too icy and dangerous because I’m a newish rider I got a older horse she’s around 15 but I guess she’s kind of a pony she’s only 12 hands high but she’s amazing in my profile pic that’s her. Her name is jasper she’s a wild card but she’s getting better with trust I will take your tips and work them into my horse and maybe tweak them into her ability I don’t like copying well known people because for some reason it seems to set the bar to high so thank you. 🙂

    Hi Fallon! Love the vlogs!! I totally agree with you on the staying off your horses face! I see so many people that have constant pressure with very little release... The first thing I teach is to stay off the horses face... You have a much happier horses that way.

    • @brittanygraf2023
      @brittanygraf2023 5 лет назад +1

      Jamie Beaver so true it is so harsh on the horse being on their face. In any discipline I teach or ride I always teach riders to use their leg. Leg is so important to use as an aid.

    I really really really love tea and I’ve been wanting a palomino for so long so I’m definitely gonna be interested when you rehome her but I probably won’t be able to get her cause she’ll probably be like 10 thousand dollars but it’s ok. I need a horse with a lot of confidence because I have major anxiety so a horse that knows what it’s job and is super confident makes me more confident. Anyways love you Fallon you’re so amazing and I look up to you so much love you ♥️

    My horse was rescued from going to a kill pen. And when we adopted him he was very aggressive. He would bite you and he actually kicked my dad in the arm. He had eyes that made him look like a murderer. My parents wanted to get rid of him but I loved him even though he could’ve hurt me. So I started grooming him and petting him more and he then started to settle down. Then I started training him by lunging and saddle breaking and then after that we started jumping and just last year we started barrels. The reason is I realized that he wasn’t having fun anymore and so I tried something new he now he loves it. He’s not quite there yet of being very good but we are making progress every week. He no longer have that murder eye or his aggressive personality anymore. Thank you for making this video fallon.

    I was not expecting this but you got me to the feels. My boyfriend got out of therapy a month ago for drug abuse. I was paying for everything for over 6 months because of that, so obviously was too broke to ride. I never had a horse of my own and my parents never understood why I was loving this sport. They were far from rich, so I had to work from 14 years old, clean those stalls and everything. I cried a lot wondering why God didn't want me to ride. But lately, I made just a bit more money, saved like I could, and hopefully I'm going to be abble to start classes again. I've found a old men 40 minutes away from home and he let me ride his two horses, one of them had a bit of power so I'll try to have fun with him as soon as summer comes back. I will be my own underdog story.

    My sorrel gelding was 4 when we bought him. He was green broke and only knew how to let you saddle and him to take off running. He was sent to a trainer that hit him square in the nose with a little hand whip. He came back, for about two months, I couldn’t touch him, and I was upset that I couldn’t after I had been riding him for almost two years, we then sent him to a female trainer that pronounced him untrainable. He was a pasture pet for two years after that while I worked with another horse. Then I started him. He is now an almost finished barrel horse. 5 years later

    THANK YOU soo much for sharing! I really do look forward to watching your videos for when I get back into horses upon my retirement....things I would love to hear more about, in no particular order are: once you’ve had a horse fall on you, how do you not let that get into your head....to the point where you’re not holding them back...but you’re also not pushing them forward to the barrel like you could....also, I see a lot of people using these Magna-waves and nebulizers, oxygen and lasix and doing all sorts of treatments to their horses...back when I rode 35 years ago, we never did any of this stuff...you could spend a fortune doing all this additional stuff to your horse....any thoughts on all this stuff available now? Thank you again for sharing and your Thanksgiving video was very cute and funny - I saw it and though you guys are nuttzo but in a very good way!!! :) It just warmed my heart :)

    Yeah I agree. People will rip at you no matter what. No matter how much time you put in, how old you are, how much you've struggled and succeeded.
    So the best thing is in my opinion to listen to what people say if its helpful or supportive. It's a criticism that's helpful and hot hateful, respect it and evaluate yourself.
    But if people are bashing you for no other reason then to call you named and spread lies and make you feel low.
    Then there's no point in giving them your ear.
    Believe in yourself and find those close friends and family that will no matter what.

    I'm blown away by your knoknowledge and encouraging words and most of the phrase that you say after each blog by thanking Jesus! My granddaughters idolize you and hope someday they can meet you! The oldest is 10 and wants so much to be in the horse world 24/7 but it does take money. She's an amazing rider and excels in everything she does. But to get her motivated to do anything like her chores or school work(at home schooling) we have to bribe her with horse time which consists of your videos , looking at horses on Craigslist, and riding and riding and riding some more. I hope out of all the comments you are able to read this one personally. And to know you are so loved by God and us! I'm her gma( Ducki) and I know she's going to go far in life in spite of alot of heartache she's had to endure. I'm always telling her to " Cowgirl up" and keep your eyes on Jesus! Because someday you'll be riding a white horse with Him!

    This was my fav in a long time.
    🙌 preach sister. It’s not about all the stuff and things it’s about your dedication, your drive, your willingness to put the work in when nobody else is. Thank you thank you for backing a Mama up on this. I talk to Brooklynn about this on a weekly.

    😍😭😍 oh my she looks just like our old boy Casper that had to be given back to God two months ago . He was 31 years old . All of my cousins started on him. And he was my aunts and grandmas gammer back in the day then became my first horse to teach me how to ride and then my first show horse ♡. Its amazing when a beautiful gentle soul like that can be passed down for generations and the last to sit on him was my 1 month old son . Crazy . Hopefully she can be like that for you guys and whoever gets her .
