Technically Broderick is one of the best active guitar players in the world, there's nothing to say, the guy is unbeatable. But no one can play old Megadeth songs like Friedman did.

Then several years later, in 2004, Dave invites Chris to rejoin Megadeth for the recording of The System has Failed, and the latter agrees on the grounds on being a hired gun to play just some leads (after having been called a sewer rat ,among other praises and flatteries, in front of the eyes of the whole world). So, you´d say that they are OK with each other and everything is forgiven. And, then, Dave continues to play this song live every now and then... Am I missing something?

@DimitriVHefley Uhm Broderick is their worst guitar player? Broderick is probably the best guitar player of any band, not just Megadeth. Dave himself called Broderick the best guitarist Megadeth ever had. His technique is flawless. Watch his two handed tapping, or him playing Bach on classical, or just the way he doesn't break a sweat playing any solo, or his solos in Endgame. The guy's amazing.
@DimitriVHefley Have you watched any live footage of Glen Drover? Are you serious? Go watch That One Night's - Tornado of Souls. Trust me, I love him, but he substitutes key arpeggios in the big friedman solos for diminished runs, it's kind of uneasing.
But him hasn´t any feeling when plays. For that, he will never be better than Friedman, Drover or Pitrelli. I´m not saying that he is the worst. I´m saying that he is the best "Thrasher" guitarrist, his technique is perfect, but his feeling is 0.

I have seen him live four times with Megadeth and the only thing I don't like about him and I prefer Chris Broderick for is Marty Friedman solo covers. Megadeth's current lineup is their best, technically. They have the best rhythm guitarist in the world, an excellent rhythm section, and a phenomenally talented classically trained lead guitarist, who is for sure more talented than Marty Friedman.

Great song. A lot of people disagree with me, but I think So Far, So Good...So What! is Megadeth's best album. It's my favorite anyway.

no he wasn't, he was their original lead player, and would've stayed more than TWO albums if he hadn't had such drug problems.
