@@KetchaWill I'm certain it was released after the campaign to save Footscray after a suggestion that they may merge with Fitzroy after the 1989 season, this song by Mike Brady was a bit of a rallying cry, and ultimately the Doggies did survive in their own right, and won a Flag in 2016.
This was the song up until 1989. New version was released at the beginning of 1990 season with same tune but some new wording.. It does remind me (especially) our home games at the Western Oval. We were definitely "underdogs" those years... Beautiful memoirs.... I wish we kept the "tune" with Mike Brady singing....
I'm so glad I found this! The chorus taken from the club song with the altered "bulldogs bite and bulldogs roar, remember '54" last lines. I had no idea that's where they were from! I've been trying to find a record of the official club song with those lines. Can anyone fill me in on how long that version was the official song? I was born in '88 so I don't really remember the one prior to the "remember '54" version and then obviously it's been the Western Bulldogs version since '97. Any info would be very much appreciated 🔴⚪🔵 Carn the SCRAY!
Better than PK, 👉 remember '24, 19' and 20' ! It's our year again this time. A brilliant rendition thanks MB. 💝💟✌Start singing this again bulldogs xx.
This should still be their theme song
