- Govee just released the Dreamview G1 Pro which is an adaption of their Immersion setup for TV's but for the PC. There is a lot to like about this product but I do think there is still some areas it could improve on. I just showcase the screen sampling feature this has in this video but let me know if you'd like to see the other lighting options in the comment section and I can make a video on that.
Someone commented that adjusting the saturation and white balance helps give you more of the in between shades and after playing around with it for a while it definitely helps. I had messed around with the saturation some during the review but not the white balance and the combo makes this even better. I already like this product but nailing down the color replication with these adjustments makes me love it so I might do a future video to showcase and clarify that.
I would personally wait for sales on this product as they do them frequently for all of their products.

You commented on lacking those in-between colors. Have you tried reducing the saturation in the Govee app?
I have their 2nd newest TV kit (without the additional side bars) and it runs warm and vivid.
I've found the best color reproduction (on that model) happens at about 10% saturation, 60-70% brightness, and a touch less red on the white balance slider.
I had messed around with the reduction in saturation but I hadn’t tried adjusting the white balance, that definitely helped some. I’ll pin this comment and add the info to the description :)
@@1UpNerdcore yeah, they certainly aren't perfect and out of the box they need a bit of tweaking, but on a sale they're fun.
I never comment, but I watch most of your videos. Keep em coming! 👍🏻
@@1UpNerdcore Yes you 100% have to mess with white balance, even on tv model. The difference is HUGE.
I think Govee's moving in the right direction, and this is a big step from the stuff I've seen from them before - but definitely lots of room for improvement, specifically at least a more expensive option that uses an app instead of a camera for color immersion. Hope the company continues developing new tech in this area of the industry, think there is a lot of potential in immersive gaming like this.
Well said 🙏🏼
They should just develop app to sync the colors like philip hue. the inaccurate colors is a big no to me. And you have to calibrate it to get accurate colors also big no.
Great in depth review! I love Govee products and like you said their app is so user friendly.
With the camera placement.. I have the immersion kit for my TV which allows me to place the camera at the bottom of my tv, does this product give you the opportunity to do so in the calibration settings? If so that might be a better placement for pc users and if not I would be interested if you could just reverse the calibration /flip it and see if that works. Or not use the calibration tool at all because I have heard with some user of the immersion kit having success without calibration.
I see you have the Logitech speaker too. Do you also use the screen capturing on that along with the Dreamview?
If you just wanted ambient light for the room and wanted everything to be a static color (like white light only), is that possible? Or only reactive lighting?
Yup, you can do that with the normal settings 👍🏻
@@1UpNerdcore in that situation you can even go without the camera right? (Not a big fan of anything potentially recording my screen even if at a bad angle)
I have a 32inch curved, you think I will be fine?
It should be fine
How did you get it to fit your monitor? Can you show the back of your monitor please
Did you watch the video? I show it a bunch 🤔
