As someone that owns a 5th wheel trailer and camps and hunts up on Skyline drive area often, no one can possibly imagine just how steep the roads are and how quick the weather conditions can change in minutes. I certainly don't want to come off as making people feel stupid, but what they did is a big risk. People die every year from this all across the western US. You've got to be mindful of the forecast and make sure you're not up in the high mountains when one of these hard southwesterly storms roll in. Those storms will drop feet of snow in a day. Far too often people's bodies are found in March through May as the snow finally melts off.

Many older people these days don’t know how to access apps to weather reports. My neighbors are in their 70s and can barely use their cell phones to make a phone call and if their phone dies and is put on a charger, they don’t know that they can turn it on and use it while it’s charging.

I did plumbing in Philadelphia PA, we had floods one year and many people couldn’t return to their homes due to lack of water. I was contacted by my church to help a few families IF I could.
The first family took 12 hours laying in 8” of basically chocolate pudding. I’ve never been so filthy. At 10pm I was giving it one last try and finally water came out of the faucet. The lady broke down in tears and was trembling when she hugged me.
You mentioned how good it feels helping people who genuinely need your help. Well she tried to pay me many time and so did the church. No amount of money could touch the feelings of doing it out of the goodness of your heart.

Sometimes our lives lead to a bend in our path and we don't know what is around it! Maybe it's not where we thought we would see ourselves but to be there helping others is very rewarding and possibly a better place than where we were.
The whole group of you guys with a leader like Heavy D are a great example of how everyone should be toward one another. Thanks for sharing and doing what you do.
Stay safe healthy and happy 👍

AWESOME JOB! THANK YOU FOR HELPING SOMEONE WHO REALLY NEEDED IT! I know everything takes money and people cannot always do things for free. It is horrible how when there are not many options or when someone is in some situations that is when people really get cheated the costs to get help quadruples because the help knows you have no one else to call. So it is INCREDIBLE that you guys do these things that would cost someone their life savings or in this case in away the roof over their heads. That instead can cost you guys thousands just to get the equipment, fuel, supplies, & etc.. needed to these jobs for people. THATS AWESOME THANK YOU!
