@@littleyamini are you still enjoying it? i'm thinking of buying one for my kid. just to see their pov while doing things together like on vacations etc
Thank you for this really comprehensive video, I just saw this camera online and found your video first in my youtube search. It's a great novelty item but you brought up some good points to think about when using it, like having to use the camera to take the photo, and then moving to the phone and then the printer (I know this is how it normally works when taking photos on a dslr and then moving to your computer and then printing it). I have an HP Sprocket photo printer which has its own shortcomings, but it's great for printing photos straight from your phone and not having to use an external gadget to take the photo, it's all happening within one gadget ie the phone. I also think the sprocket looks better and is sleeker than the mini link. Thanks again for this video, it's hard to come by tech information that keeps it simple, quick and interesting.
This is a fun camera, but I feel like it's limited in use when most cell phone cameras are better. As a selfie camera (as shown in advertising), I'm not really sure how to use it without a mirror to make sure you're in the shot.
It reminds me a lot of the Google Clips camera which was similarly useless when compared to a phone camera. I guess this is fun as a gimmick but it doesn't make sense at all to me functionally.
Perfect for my 9 year old! The app accessibility is an upgrade and fun for kids. If only it was waterproof! Yes I liked your comment at the end about encouraging young kids/adults to access fun without the use of a smart phone. 💯
Really good introduction. It will definitely be my toy if it includes something that the smart phone cannot easily be replaced. Such as having time-lapse for say, 1 shot per hour, or even 1 shot per day. Wait for its improvement.
Great video. Just curious in how fast it would take to take photos on this thing in the spur of the moment. I feel like I always miss the perfect photo on vacations, because its a hassle to unlock my phone and run the camera app. If I have the Pal around me, am I more likely to capture photos faster than my phone?
How does it compare, image quality wise, to the Instax Evo? I know neither are geared for outstanding performance but I'm interested if this has the same sensor or even better given its newer design
a very informative and useful sharing, especially you mentioned what I doubted - why do I need it if I have already got the printer n mobile phone. and thanks for sharing the shortcoming especially about the L mode. heard that it's about us$199, guess it is still worth buying for fun, especially for group photos with friends and family. the quality of fujifilm products is good, the instax products with me are still in very good conditions. thanks for the analysis ❤
I'm thinking about that, as the city I live is getting dangerous and taking your phone out for a pic can easily end up in a robbery. I want to go on walks to local cemeteries and take pics so this would be useful as it's small, harder to take it off your hands and probably the average guysrobbing wouldn't focus on it as it's definitely cheaper than my phone.
Would like to ask will the auto print works with the first gen instax mini link? Or will i need it in fun mode and send it to the mini link app to print?
if you won't send the photos directly to printer (Link Mode) and you have your phone and its much superior camera, then what's the point of connecting this little camera to your phone and take the photos by controlling via phone? it's not sarcasm, i am seriously asking, am i missing something?
Nope, it's not a camera that people need. Fuji is trying to milk their instax line as much as possible with this product by creating an "instax ex=cosystem". The "F" feature is kind of pointless whith a smartphone but even the 'L" feature (wich print shots before you can even frame them) is an absolute positive for the manufacturer but kind of a nightmare for a potential client (way to many ways to screw up the shot)... It has kind of interesting ideas but, boy this seems gimmicky.
@@showdaKOs The lack of any kind of mirror for selfies is what gets me. I can conceivably see the target demographic using this for group photos in a pinch (it is simpler to use than a phone) but there's no way to frame yourself without using the app as a remote. For the trendy, younger demographic Fuji is going for with the Instax line, this camera is not more convenient nor higher quality than using a cell phone with a Link printer. It's almost like this thing would have needed a very high quality sensor to justify using it over a phone, or maybe at least some video options?
Does it need your phone and/or printer for it to work? Can I leave my phone at home or far away and take many pictures to check them later when I’m close again to my phone?
I’m not hot on that design. It would’ve made more sense to put the shutter button on top, instead of power, and power on the back. That move to hit the shutter button looks very uncomfortable. The app looks nice, though.

based on another review i saw, you can take photos without the app, but the camera is programmed to limit the number of photos stored on it to 50 (once there are 50 photos on the internal storage, you have to offload the photos, using a micro SD card will not increase the limit)
