Who told you that ? They made successful engine with ৭৮Kn thrust । Which is not enough for IAF । BUT may be they should give gtre one Tejas for testing it's performance। But just like you , IAF not interested । But it's necessary to learn from failure।
Aero engine is technology where you need more thrust with lowest weight, more durable, stealthy and cheaper.
Not Engine,but Aircraft needs stealthy features.,Engine can't be made with Composite material.

What about replacement for F404 engine used in TejasMk1A. The HAL requires it's replacement ASAP. Or HAL shall end up manufacturing khokhas in a big way. What is NSA doing on this issue .wasn't HAL ,MOD & THE NSA in dark or keeping Indian Airforce in the dark .PMO should take coagsence of this matter and settle this matter relating to the engines.

But the author keeps repeating information that has been doing the rounds on internet about the engine for a long time! There is nothing so new in the news ! The video as in the case of some other RUclips channels are made just for the sake of making the video and garnering viewership and getting monetary benefits ! When I made a similar comment on another channel, the author apologized and blamed AI for poor quality of the video content ! One thing to note is that no such news had appeared in the regular newspapers or TV Channels and DRDO or GTRE has not published any press notes on any new development !

GTRE started way back in 60s or 70s - success is not possible with out failures - but with not much money support, it had nothing to show like NAL, HAL, and other aero establishments till Modi arrived - since 2015 Modi encouraged - results may be coming with political will and international collaborations.
