- Turkey was the 12th country I visited. At the border I was greeted by Ahmet and Fahrid who showed me around the Kaçkar Mountains. We had to cut out a little of the adventure due to my first flat tire ever on this trip.
From Trabzon I headed to Cappadiocia. The balloon flight was one of the most unforgettable moments on my RTW trip. It is one of those places where photos, as spectacular as they are just don’t come close to experiencing it in person.
From here on though the problems with Chillie only got worse...

I spent a month riding around Turkey a few years ago...It was INCREDIBLE riding along the med. Really enjoyed seeing Capadocia and Darinkuyu...amazing country and I cant wait to come back!! The only traffic issues I had were in IZMIR...just a very congested city, but still very beautiful!

Kinga, king (and queen) of the world! The black sea coast of Turkey is amazing! I think I'm gonna cry when you're done with this tour. The balloon ride was like a disney movie, and the Turkish people are so kind.

Two take-aways from this episode that are amazing: 1) You've gone all this distance so far and had your first flat. 2) Your friends drove all the way from Ankara to pick you up. You lead a charmed life!

Just a tip if I may. I see you used a little petrol on the fire to start it. My tip is, if you get a can and cut it off about 3 to 4 cm high. Fill it with petrol and place it under the fire wood. Light the petrol and it will act like a fire lighter and burn longer to ensure the wood catches fire. And is a lot safer than splashing petrol over a fire.

That balloon ride was awesome , so many balloons and the landscape like a fantasy movie . The bike has starting to play up again , flat tyre and now fuel pump , lets hope no more probs . Now you've done ballooning , next is sky diving :-)
