But you want to remove polyps before they become cancerous. Also, the poop-in-a-box-test, blood tests, etc are going to require you to get a colonoscopy anyway if there are markers indicating the presence of cancer cells. The blood test when it becomes available, is definitely a game changer, but don't wait until it becomes available. The fear mongering about the colonscopy prep is farcical. I did just fine, and this is coming from someone who needs to constantly, eat! ;)
There is also a risk of perforation of the colon from colonoscopy.
