Either way this guitar style is way better than that finger tapping shit used way too often in rock and metal that was invented long before Van Halen but was popularized by Van Halen. Traditional blues guitar playing is the best and with the slide it sounds so cool. This style should be used much more in hard rock and metal than it has in the history of those genres. That finger tapping shit should be dead or used much less in my opinion because it has been beaten to death over the last 4 decades in those genres. Hard rock and metal are much better when it uses the old school blues format of playing guitar.
