He's very talented. Robbie has a stage presence and a remarkable voice. I like his original music but also enjoy his covers of classic swing tunes.
You can tell he really loved singing this great and classic song. And I like the tribute to the Rat Pack but especially to Bobby Darin.
I don't freakin care what year it is or what it will be in ten years... it's just a legendary performance
Used to watch Robbi singing Mac the Knife on Karaoke in The Talisman, a pub in Tunstall Stoke on Trent when he was only about 17. He sang it so good. I never forget it.

The old pros did do it best, but what I like about this performance and this whole show is that he looks as though he is genuinely enjoying himself. Most of the time he hams it up and goes through the motions. Loved this show.
we like him very much, because he knows what to do in front of the audience, we see how he loves to sing, he's got charisma & his unique moves which drive us crazy !!! ;) it's just pleasure to watch & listen him.

I think Robbie did a great job... love this kind of genre and he sank it very well in his own style.
Artistically , how I wish RW had done a lot more of this. It showed his talent so much more than much of his new stuff.

It takes him a couple of verses, but he finally gets his groove and swings. This is one of those bellwether songs that you get to hear many singers sing. It's really interesting to hear all the different interpretations.

How could anyone not like Robbie? He is fab. I saw him live here in NY in about 2002 and he rocked da house! That said, the version of 'Mack the Knife' (performed by LyleLovett) in the film "Quiz Show" is downright chilling. The lyrics are quite more subversive in that version, but I love ANY version of 'Mac the Knife.'
Google 'Mac the Knife,' and just see how many different versions are out there.

Robbie William's music and performance is absolutely incredible. The only better rendition that I have ever heard of "Mack The Knife" was Ella Fitzgerald. Robbie Williams puts a nice polish on this song - its a bit different from Bobby Darin, and Louis Armstrong, and others but that's the great thing about art - it can have variations and still be great. Williams really does all the Rat Pack era music very well.
