The super73 requires a motorcycle license, registration/plates and insurance. $2000+ expense per year. The Segway moped can be driven on any street almost anywhere without license, registration/plates and insurance as long as you stay under 28 mph (or maybe it's 22mph) and the bike has pedals.

I own 2 ebikes and 3 regular bikes but no motorcycle. Also have a car. The motorcycle market is very narrow and specific and EXPENSIVE and DANGEROUS.
Since you asked, yes you should get a motorcycle endorsement. Take the MSF BRC course, they provide bikes and gear, and you learn about bikes for 2-3 days. Then they give you a certificate for the M Endorsement. It is worth it and will get you cheaper insurance

Linear torque curve on a motorcycle sounds like a fun death trap. It's not that it's inherently dangerous but that people who want to go fast will be able to go fast, faster. They were wise to limit it to 70 mph.
This bike is built more for smaller interstate use like 55 to 65 MPH highways max . This bike is simply too slow with a top speed of 75 mph for use on large highways as most people will be traveling at +80mph.. and you will have no passing power. I can guarantee this bike will not be getting 100 miles or range maybe at 25 to 30 mph but with real world use it will probably get a 50 to 60 mile range which is not great it looks kinda cool though.
Winter of 2023. They have almost 2 years to figure all those HYPED numbers out. 75 mph, 100 mile range, 80% capacity in less than an hour. Meanwhile, their ebikes are notorious to have bad motors, cracking frames and oh btw, they’re yet to deliver on the PROMISED torque update, you know the one that actually works without bricking the motor. If you want an E bike at a later age to make a commute work that's one thing, but at that age kids should be riding for fun and just pedaling around. The brand probably does want to get them hooked early though but to me it shouldn't be a goal.

It would be ok if it did 90mph because When you go up a hill you top speed goes down and cars are not going to understand you loose 20 mph . what’s the range at 65 mph? The two best electric bikes are the Shelby vintage electric bike and the cab recon bikes .
I'm glad they didn't. Hub motors add way too much unsprung weight and they are terrible at dissipating heat. They're fine for bicycles but, too many disadvantages for a 75 MPH motorcycle.
I ordered one, but TBH it looks like a sondors rip-off. Not saying that's a bad thing, but we'll see what this really looks like and how it performs (and charges) next year. The fast charge speed strikes me as unlikely unless they're doing the multi-pack, "split" simultaneous charge. DC fast heat issues won't work with small/light packs.
Since it’s a street legal vehicle that is categorized as a motorcycle it’s going to be way too expensive compared to typical motor scooters and mini motorcycles like Honda groms and Navi that is priced under 2k before taxes.
Groms cost over $4k in most states out the door. This will compete with a Grom to some extent, but will likely line up in pricing with a Sondors e-motorcycle.
It's not a new category. This is a mini moto like Honda Grom and the Benelli Tnt125. It's just electric. Looks good, but it will cost couple of times more than the non - electric mini motos.

140 km is 87 miles. The CX1 is supposed to go over 100 miles on one charge. 120 kph is 75 mph. The CX1 can do the same speed (he showed the correction on screen). The key difference would be the price. The Ola might be cheaper than the CX1, but we don't know the price of the CX1 yet and the Ola is NOT sold here in the USA, at least not yet. If Ola sells their scooter here, it will more likely cost a lot more here than in Ola's home market.
