I was a huge Lenny Dykstra fan during his stay in Philly, he was everything a fan wanted from a ballplayer. Unfortunately I met Lenny in the late 90's with my 8 yr old son and was devastated to learn what a cruel, mean spirited person he truely was, and is. This guy is the most selfish, ego driven athelete I have ever met in my 67 yrs on this planet.

Pete Rose told a ten year old fan of his that it would cost $10........ my brother was confused and said he didn't have $10. Pete Rose told him to "leave me the fuck alone then, kid" while he pushed past him laughing with his buddies. Fuck. Pete. Rose.
StaticImage Talented athletes who have been told they were "the greatest" at all formative stages of their lives more often then not turn into less than spectacular human beings when they finally reach the upper echelon of their vocations. And Bonds, A-Rod, and Rose are no doubt jerks, but AT LEAST they were supremely talented, Top-1%-of-the-1% first-ballot HoF players whose stats are the pinnacle of the record books but who may never see the HoF because of "politics", "they cheated", "I just don't like that asshole", etc. But Dykstra's above-average talent couldn't touch any of those three on a baseball diamond. All three of the names I mentioned are MVPs -- Dykstra took steroids and still couldn't win one. And to top it off, he's WAY MORE of a scumbag of a human being.
