I'm hooked on this banana french toast. I made it yesterday evening and brought it to work. I popped it into the air fryer for about 10 minutes. Totally orgasmic! I used brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla extract in the egg/almond milk mixture. My only regret is that I only brought 2 slices to work. Still a bit peckish. 2 thumbs up for this delightful recipe
Only if you are a cheese & pineapple pizza fan 😂 TOP TIP keep the skin on the banana while cutting the slices required, cover the top to save for later then cut the tip oxidesed black part off and the rest is good to go. As chopping the whole banana for a few slices seems a waste 😊
I once had quesadillas with cheese, banana, and pickled jalapenos = a great combo. I look forward to trying the milder version - and I love your idea of the flattened filled and fried bread pockets - you could put anything in there! Thank you for the great ideas!

You wouldn't believe how awesome it tastes. I only have my omlettes that way. Egg, lots of cheese and a banana. It's sweet and tangy esp of you use cheddar cheese. I saw that sandwich and immediately thought of my go to omlette. It's the best ever. My mum always made that for us growing up. I'd choose my cheese and banana omelet over mushrooms etc any given day.try it. Youll love it 🥰

I once tried a recipe with cheese and banana, i don't usually like things like those but it was actually really good, just be sure to use the kind of cheese that it's shown (mozzarella I think?) Otherwise the flavor would be different and maybe the cheese will be too strong for the banana.
The first one wasn't as easy as it looks. Wish I knew what kind of bread was used. It looked slightly wider and thicker than standard sandwich bread. The whole wheat sandwich bread that I used fell apart after I flipped it over. And the egg mixture ran almost completely out the bottom below the bananas and the bread. A disappointment.

And the only solution I can think of for the egg mixture running out the bktom is to mash the bananas together slightly to remove the spaces between them. Originating from the Pac. NW, I'm unfamiliar w/ T. toast.

The most simple, a flatbread, is called Soldiers bread, as it was made during wars when soldiers were on the move. If you want a thicker bread, there's an equally easy one, but with the addition of dry/powdered yeast to make bread rise. - Both very easy, only a couple of ingredients, and made in a pan on stovetop.

I would just eat the rest of the banana but if you want to leave the peel intact, be sure to wash it well. There is no telling who or what touched it.

It seems like it would be dry on one side. The bread is never saturated in the egg mil mixture.

You need to use a thicker hardier kind of bread like a Texas toast.
