Welcome to this Tennessee Whiskey Guitar Tutorial by Chris Stapleton!
I’m a massive fan of country music and this song is just phenomenal. It has a wide range of guitar parts to suit all kinds of skill levels. So whether you’re a beginner or intermediate player there’ll be something fun for you to play. The rhythm guitar is just comprised of 2 guitar chords! Best tutorial for the solo but it’s hard when I have to play it on acoustic, anyways great work!

Transpose the notes down on your fretboard. They can be played in a lower octave and still sound good.
I know this was a while ago. Some bends are nigh on impossible on an acoustic.. but! Learning on acoustic will make you better on electric!
finally! a channel and teacher that actually does a full playthrough instead of just showing the chords and strum pattern

A couple of things - I've been learning guitar less than 2 weeks. I can do the major chords, some minors, but I can't change chords smoothly yet. On top of that, I can't do a Bm yet but thats ok. When I'm just sitting around, I'm practicing scales and learning the notes on the fretboard. I learned the intro last night by watching this video. I have an acoustic guitar so my fingers are now pretty raw. HAHA but it's worth the pain. My wife and I love this song, but I've practiced the intro so much that she might get tired of hearing it. :) You've helped me out a ton already man. Keep up the good teaching.

@@GuitarZero2Hero I'm having a blast learning. I should've learned guitar 25 years ago instead of learning the drums. I loved playing the drums, but my parents wanted it quiet when they got home from work. Can't exactly practice when I have to be quiet. Anyways, I'm going to work on the solo next, but not stop trying to get the Bm down. If I can play the rhythm and have the solo down in the next couple months, I'll count that as a W. If you’ve got a background in drums you’ll be great with guitar :) guitar is a very rhythmic thing, so once you get the finger positioning and strength out of the way you’ll be killing it! All the best

Hi Dave, it's been a while, i forgot about the guitar man, and i feel guilty af about it bc it was fun when I used to play it...
Anyway this is yet another amazing guitar tutorial and i fucking love you for giving this as a free lesson but that part 9:50 " here's where things get tricky " had me rolling on the floor 😂
In all seriousness tho, I want to get back to the guitar, i really do, it's just that idk how. Plus i started going to faculty, and it's making me things a bit harder, i miss spending time learning and having fun with the guitar back in summer. Any suggestions?

Might want to add that the tab for the solo says hit 7th fret on G string and slide to the 11th, but it looks as though you play 7th, then play the 9th and slide to the 11th. IDK which is right, but both sound good to me when I play it as long as I play in time.

Dave, do you know any place where u could enter in a chord & it will generate a bunch of different ways of playing it/alternative fingerings/voicings for that chord? 🤔 Only asking because ive been practicing castle on the hill and my ring and pinky finger are cramping up because they stay in that position for too long
