People should be allowed to make the best decision for themselves and their families. Just stick to ur decision and stand by the choice u made…. So why are a bunch of them now suing the PGA tour now that the Saudi Tour is over? U made ur decision so LIV with it! 😂
Is there somewhere you wouldn’t play for ethical reasons if they offered you enough money? What Ian Poulter basically said, “Nope, I love money and don’t give a shit where it comes from.”
The only trophies I would want are the open trophies, oh and those are open not owned by PGA. Wait till Pebble, Torrey Pines and Shinnecock Hills run their own tourneys like Augusta outside the PGA and yeah, they are already in talks to do exactly that.
Well, Pebble isn't going to pay USD$1M for 5th place, with only 3 rounds and no cuts. They would want a real competition, where there is a chance for an unknown to enter the field---like in a Monday Qualifier, and they would want it to be a cold, and REAL world of competition. Not fake, WWE style golf, like LIV. Me thinks.
Look from this perspective, now that Arnold is gone, the Bay Hill tournament isn’t so special anymore, when Jack passes, the Memorial will just be another tour event, and now that Tiger is gone, the whole golf scene is different.
@@linkbelt111 Yeah. I get it. Why even have competition really? Just play 3 rounds with music, and make it the Communist tour while we're at it. What makes PGA Golf what it is, is that it's a freakin' cold world for these guys. The survival of the fittest. But for right now, there's a respite called LIV....Bubba is joining that too. Why work hard?
I rather be a greed, or greedy then been a hypocrite, lier, backbiter, jealouser, or a monalisa all of a sudden, monahan, is gone greedy, trying to match liv, golf, his, greed is vengers, a tit, for tat, that shows what kind of mickymouse leader, PGA, has at the helm, 🐀🐁
Witnessing the downfall of the PGA and if not, it’s only because the LIV tour forced the PGA to get better, add fall tours and increase purse size substantially.
@@DougWarren-rf4pv so you are saying the PGA was going to add the fall tour regardless, that it substantially increased purse prizes just because it felt it wanted to?
😆 the PGA increased purses and dialed back the schedule for the love of the fans and because they "care" about their players and the work life balance.
LIV will die. No one on that Arab tour will ever get the feeling like Tony Finau got this weekend when he won. And those guys egos need to be fed that kind of excitement.
Liv already got the feeling, with more an more, pga crossing over an a gooood feeling with a good shake of hand, of welcome, get dim blinkers of horsey, boy,
Do they . And to sell out to a Murderous regime . If money is all your after then you sold your soul . These guys can’t even defend their decisions. We are living in a Material world with a bunch of soulless people if Murder can’t sway you from doing something morally then you have no morals
The Tour is in a tough spot…If you look at it from a neutral perspective. Tiger is solely responsible for the incredible increase in purses and payouts…Unfortunately, unlike other sports that have another Jordan coming up, or another Shaq, or another Steph Curry who can represent the sport and bring in the fans, the PGA Tour has no one really who can move the needle anywhere close to what Tiger, and to a lesser extent, Phil, did…And, given the impending doom down the road, the PGA Tour is probably trying to check their finances going forward and hoard some funds to keep running given revenue and sponsorship will likely drop in the future…unless they find another Tiger or Phil…And the players know the Tour is holding the money…so, Phil took it upon himself to be the whistleblower, and the LIV Tour provided that crowbar to get the PGA Tour to share some of those funds…
Actually by some of these older players going to the LIV it opens up spots on the PGA for fresh new talent. People thought when Tiger took his dive a few years ago it was all over but look at the interesting talent that went to the top.
The fact that 4 NFL quarterbacks playing golf gets higher ratings than almost any PGA event outside of the Majors should tell you all you need to know about Golfs Popularity.
I've never been a Garcia fan. However I liked his responses and I hope he does well. The PGA could have stopped all this mess. They made their bed, now sleep in it.
Me either..Garcia sucks and was over hype when he came out..especially at 99 PGA championship..always jealous of Tiger..and glad to see his cry baby ass gone
Grown men should have negotiated their options citing that if the PGA Tour was not amenable, there would be dire considerations. Beyond that, there could have been a number of alternatives outside of the PGA Tour, admittedly. Instead, they - led by G.N. - went straight for the throat. Then, they gathered dismembers for the LIV program all in the name of $$$$$$$$$.
This is just free agency finally making it to the golf world. There are only 5-10 guys playing for a legacy, the rest should chase as much money as possible. On another note, if you look at it through the right lens, all the great Spaniard players have been odd personalities, or have raging tempers. 🤷♂️
The PGA is tough and only the best makes the cut and money. LIV is taking all the leftovers but soon LIV big money will be cut…Arabs don’t give money for bad results
Imagine every couple of years, the best of the PGA tour bs the best of Liv Golf, competing against eachother, a bit like the Ryder cup. That would be pretty cool.
That's where it's going. I see a NGA consisting of PGA, LIV, and DP just like baseball, basketball, etc....Iran understand where these guts are coming from. As a person who golf's for a living they should be able to play wherever they want to. They shouldn't be a slave to no one organization. It's called free will!
After a couple of years of the LIV playing 54 holes in a non-competitive format, the LIV players’ game for the most part will not be able to compete with that of those on the PGA and DP tours. Some of them, like Poulter, Michelson, Garcia, McDowell, Perez, etc. can’t compete now. It would be like the MLB playing the AAA clubs for the World Series!
Reporters calling the players hypocrites portrays a level of ignorance that is beyond crazy. Yes, Saudi Arabia is not the model "human rights observer" but at the end of the day, who is Saudi Arabia's main trading partner? The US government. The Saudis buy warfare machines and weapons from the US basically on a daily basis, and the Saudis provide the US with oil. The real hypocrites are those people in the US government, not a couple of golfers who are trying to earn some extra money.
If you're a professor at a major university, would you teach the moral values of SA, or those of America? If you had to represent a country in a sporting event, SA or USA? These players are giving up all that comes along with what they allegedly believe about their morals or nationalism. The money is that good.
@@wreckim If a person is a woman, gay, Christian or appreciates the idea of being able to criticize their government which country would you want to be in? These players put on blindfolds and give the weak response of "I just want to play golf". At least tell the truth and say you did it solely for the money and the ability to not have to work hard for it.
If theres one shiny bright treasure that the LIV tour provides its that we don't have to put up with Sergio for one second longer. Thank you God Almighty for this blessing. Good fucking riddance.
@@nizaamshields9202 Not for a moment does Sergio care about what I think nizzam. I on the other hand celebrate his departure with glee and a good fucking riddance.
I hear the guys going to LIV all talk about what's best for them. I hear the guys not going to the LIV talk about what's best for the game. Just sayin'.
When someone backs up a dump truck full of money to your house, then you are entitled to make a comment. Until then, it’s not anyone’s place to bad mouth those that decided to take e money.
Rory has the only important point. If you are on the line for your tour card - you take the money for your family. And Saudi money is in literally everything, if you object to it on an ethical level you’d need to quit using an unbelievable amount of products and services.
Can someone educate me on the logic of how giving them billions of dollars for their oil is ok, but them giving you money to play in their golf tournament is not ok?
"Go WOKE, go BROKE". The PGA went woke and now are going to reap it. These players are INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS and the PGA thinks that they OWN THEM!! The PGA is a charity and it would be interesting just what percentage of the monies them receive go to "charity" and WHICH ONES. Greedy pricks.
Choose what is best for you and your family, money wise. This is work , they just chose something that pays them well and have more time with their family. PGA needs to change its approach. There has to be a revenue sharing for the players to continue to play.
PGA players make there money from sponsors not for wining tournaments. Get a clue dude. It's just like NASCAR. The prize money is nice but the sponsor check is what pays the bills.
I agree. It'll give some younger and new players to get cards. Also possibly become the "next tiger"... who knows. Someone someday will rival the greats legacies! Bottom line, the more the merrier.
Sports is entertainment and fodder. Being the "best" is pointless if it's not entertaining. Who is the best curler of all time? NOBODY CARES! Or what about the best javelin thrower? Sky diver? Etc. If it's fun to watch and gives people thrills ratings will follow and so will money. The PGA has been boring to me for a LONG time(and I love golf). I'm ready for some entertainment. I dont care who the best is. I dont know any of them personally.
I am insulted by both the circuitous questions and the ambiguous responses. The reason these guys went to LIV Golf is because of the money....PERIOD, especially those that no longer were cutting it at the Tour pro level like Mickelson, Garcia, et al.
If those guys couldn't make it on the PGA tour how the hell they expected to make money playing against younger talent going after the same thing? You have to remember there's only like a hundred PGA players how many players is LIV going to have in their field?
Plus the PGA makes their courses internment not to embarrass the player able to keep their tour cards. The amount of money LIV is putting in I guarantee you those hole locations are going to be wild and I'm sure they're rough in other places that players can get in trouble are going to be just as crazy. Scores are going to be not as spectacular as you think.
That's very presumptuous. If someone offered you 10xs your salary and quarter of your schedule doing the same thing is it money? Is it schedule, family etc? Is that about money or your lifestyle?
@@jacobr4558 Well, if it was simply about golf, salary, hours, schedule, you'd be an idiot not to make the move. I read another post that dispelled the truth about actual playing commitments but I digress. YES the main motivation that drove most of these has-beens to Liv is greed/money...period. It's like me guaranteeing someone $2,000,000 annually to golf and this comes with an SUV. People aren't lured by the SUV.
I’m not going to say whether I agree or disagree with the players jumping to the LIV Tour! However, everyone with half a Brain must know that the Saudis fail miserably when it comes to Human Rights and are not the least bit sympathetic towards “Alternate Lifestyles”! They have a very oppressive form of government which should be addressed by the players willing to take their “Performance Money” and join the LIV Tour! You can’t pretend that you’re not supporting a regime that has a lousy Human Rights Record! In my opinion, you either “stand for something, or you stand for nothing”! And yes, that’s a Professional Golfer’s responsibility as much as anyone else! When I look at someone like Phil Mickelson who was offered $200 Million just to join the Tour it makes me want to throw up! I can see that Phil doesn’t think the way I do and in my opinion he’s doesn’t have the same ethics, morals, or principles as me! He’s just chasing the Almighty Dollar!
In fact, you'll see that the PGA sponsors are not limited to nationalist - leaning American firsters in any way. Look at all of the big business ties to Communists before you cast stones at young golfers and not-so-young golfers, keep some stones in the bag for the corporate sponsors.
Some people will do anything for more money. The answer to the question ‘would you play in Russia’ is obviously ‘yes’ if the money was right. They know it, we know it. When it comes to morality, money wins every time. It’s a corrupt world so anybody that says otherwise, has not been in a position of refusing a vast sum of money. It’s not just golf, it’s universal. Rory would definitely take a higher cash reward provided it’s worth his while, don’t believe he wouldn’t!!!
Playing in Russia is fine, we don’t need to be shuttled around by politicians and their need for wars. Drop all the MSM and life will be much better and clearer
Why does any of this matter??? You will still play and watch golf regardless of what any of these pros do or don’t. To all the haters and emotional cupcakes out there… answer this question - Has your life changed or has any of the decisions Phil, Dj etc to play golf made such an impact that you blame them for how you feel about your own life??? If you answer yes to that then you have serious issues!
The PGA is a household name just like NBA, NHL, NFL etc. Except Golf is an individual sport so it plays out differently. I don't really care that much what these players do, but the PGA is the OG golf league or at least the one thats a household name. I think the players that stay good for them, if they leave to go to LIV I guess...I mean that's on them
I do think sponsors will treat PGA tour members quite well from now on. Also, I expect this easy LIV money to dry up by next year. LIV will want more in return, more than missing cuts at the Majors, or not even qualifying to play them, which is what most of these LIV players are doing now.
People in there late 40s hanging on to their card would be dumb to not take the money. Tiger and Rory get millions of dollars from their sponsors every year and have accumulated amounts of money most of us can’t comprehend. Not that the guys clawing for their card don’t make good money but it’s Pennie’s compared to the wealth of tiger and Rory and what they would make if they stayed. The PGA is dumb to not let them play both and with Brooks and the young stud Cameron leaving as well the PGA may no longer have the privilege of being complacent.
The truth is they can't play both seriously. Charl Schwartzel wouldn't even make the cut at the US Open...why play these little PGA Tourneys when LIV will have 5x more, with a way weaker field? LIV is awesome, for those that choose to look away from the source of the money. Like a USDA steak, when you don't know what's happening at the slaughterhouse.
There is already. There have been other golf leagues nationwide for years. The problem is they never get on TV because ratings for PGA are so low they would never put a lower level league on TV. How do you think these people get into the PGA in the first place? I can tell you they don't come straight from their college golf teams.
Well I’m not stupid. I believe the one is the corn ferry? What I meant was more golf should be recognized around the world with different leagues in more countries.
Google is your friend smfh there's already multiple tours inside and outside the USA, the PGA is America's tour ..this is like you complaining the NFL is the only football league
Tiger has been critical of the image and likeness situation for years, at least now they’re talking out loud about it. Actually, Jack and Arnold strong armed the PGA of America, people forget that.
@Graeme, how much is enough for the elite. Your choice to choose 15 events w/ PGA Tour and set your own schedule. Plenty of time to practice and spend time with the family. In the end, the hearse does not come with a trailer hitch.
If people realized how many products in the United States are backed by Saudi money you would be astonished .... They have the right like anyone in the world to create a business and have people want to be apart of it. It’s so funny how so many people turned on Phil and DJ for wanting to make money they are playing “Golf” a recreational sport they aren’t running for a political office lol...
Golf is just like any sport. Law of attrition applies. Players not making the cut in PGA can go find green pasture somewhere else for a living. Sports is a passion, an enjoyment as well as a career. PGA or LIV - it's a choice.
Competition is almost always a good thing. The PGA has done a tremendous amount of good things amongst our communities; however, I believe that a little competition will benefit them as well in the long run.
Nobody is complaining about competition. The problem is who the competition is, and that’s Saudi Arabia. They’re a brutal regime and there’s not a human rights crime that they don’t like. Did you know that 15 of the 19 9/11 hijacker terrorists were Saudi nationals and a few of them had direct ties with the Saudi government. People are t upset s out competition they’re upset about golfers getting in bed with murderers who are absolutely an enemy of our country.

Well the title isn't specifically clear on who is F%#&$*. But we can only imagine it is definitely the PGA. They have went way overboard on this issue.
Guess what golf now has free agency and a little competition amongst tours is good thing. Maybe now the PGA will listen more to possible changes mid-tier players want. From what I can gather the PGA does very little to help up and coming golfers get their opportunity. Competition will make both tours do what is best for their players to keep them. It's the best thing for the health of the game
Ian, LIV does the exact opposite. To bring up talent from the ground up takes many many years, and it is not a profitable thing. LIV is even more top heavy; they only want the names; even the has-beens.
Watch what happens to the players that get bumped from LIV’s 48 man fields when already-wealthy bigger+named golfers come over. What will happen to the career trajectory of Piot, who was young and rising, or Ogletree, when they are displaced by a Pat Perez or Wolff?
How do you figure with guarenteed money and contracts? It's top heavy in the amounts but the guys at the bottom are making much more then they would on the PGA. If someone offered you 10 times your salary with half your same work load with paid time off etc with people you respect and enjoy working with. You honestly would say no?
@@jacobr4558 That's my point....PGA better get some new tour minimums that everyone gets for showing up. Obviously the stars should get paid more the people came to see them and they are usually the ones with the media. Those contracts should be negotiated like players contracts in team sports. The purse money is added money to their salaries.
LIV or something like it seems to have been inevitable. PGA seriously blew it. Seems like basic human thought process/behavior; getting a fat salary/contract for you and your family vs chasing a maybe every month especially as you age and are less likely to see the ifcome.
Do you think LIV will pay these people that money forever? LOL. I hope they invest what they got because there will be no more checks until the league makes money and it never will.
@@mr.sharpie2206 says someone with no idea of LIV Golf's plans or their business model. Just because it's different to the American business plan doesn't mean it won't be successful. There is a whole world out there, which the PGA Tour has ignored for decades.
They need to make a tour where players only use blades and non oversized woods. To me, that's the only way to call yourself a professional. Bobby Jones blades and S2H2 woods here!
I personally have had enough of the PGA tour. The players who went to LIV have families to support. They have kids, parents. brothers, sisters and who knows how many aunts, uncles, cousins etc. An unexpected health issue or accident can really put a person in a serious bind. Being able to help out could change their lives. The Tour couldn't care less about the families. The LIV players have spent decades helping the PGA give multi millions of dollars away. DJ said it best, it was better for his family. Mickelson doesn't need the money but he is simply making a statement and down the line the PGA players may end up the better for it. He didn't want to go, but he did, and not for himself. Tiger changed the Tour and it was good. Look what he did to his family, but it's still good. He was forgiven. The Saudis are trying to change generations of the way things were done. They grew up with their ideals and lets hope they continue to modernize their way of thinking. The Tour says it's all about money. The money you have to pay for drinks and food at a tournament is down right criminal.
They were told what to say, none of the LIV guys would say the truth (although Bryson sorta did). It’s not about more time with families, it’s money. Why sue the PGA to play in more events if it was about more time with family? Next year going to 14 LIV events, now they wanna play even more on the PGA. So went from 15 required events to now 14. So what’s the common denominator? Cash. DJ and Phil had net worth’s of $100M and $400M. Sergio around $70M…an unexpected health issue is the least of their concerns. We’ve now heard Phil has money issues, on top of not being competitive, he would be stupid not to leave and take money. Sergio too. Outside of DJ, Bryson and maybe Brooks, everyone who left, wasn’t competing on a regular basis.
This is for all the haters out there pissing about the golfers that went to the LIV Tour: I am sure, that if you were offered a job at twice the salary, that you would stay put out of loyalty to an employer that more than likely doesn't give 2 craps about you.

Jim Powell speaking. Does the murdering of 3;000 Americans on 9-11-2001 have any bearing to your thinking? 19 Arabs from Saudi Arabia were on those planes who murdered those Americans. To me it is blood money. I have no respect for any American who left the PGA tour for this Saudi Arabia LIV tour.

It’s a choice and those guys made it for their own reasons. Let it go and move on. More players are joining the tour. Take a look at the complaints these guys have and see if adjustments can be made to make the tour more manageable for the players.
Read the bible before you ask how much is too much to make. According to your own religion it's nothing more then you need to survive. As much as you all won't admit it your god and Jesus were socialists and very liberal.
It's time for a kinda Ryder cup of PGA x LIV. With $ 1 Billion prize for the winner. (Winner takes all) People love money right? It will be like Conor McGregor x Floyd Mayweather. Everybody wanted to see that money fight. It's good for famous golfers that were paid +$150Mi to join Liv and for non famous average tour golfers or career starting golfers to earn big money from tournaments. The golf accolades and traditional PGA majors and tournaments will become worthless for those players. For the fans will be bad because there are no more rankings and accolades for those golfers and golfers will play for only money and for themselves. No more show for the fans. It became like a live band that are playing only for themselves and not for the audience. This will be the reality from now on.
Steph Curry? Really?? How much is his contract with the NBA worth. 100ds of millions. How much do baseball players make?? Times are changing in golf. Good lord what a joke when you get halfway down the list. 1,800th in world ranking at the bottom and one of the bottom feeders who played only 2 rounds on the PGA and barely broke 80 was given 1 mil to join. Its actually enjoyable to watch since the Saudi's have unlimited funds so there are no commercials but it is not competitive golf but instead purely meaningless entertainment.
@@brianmcg321 Yes. And one of them did crack the Top 25 at the last Major. 24th in fact. Kudos to DJ for that accomplishment. He was only 10 shots behind the winner.
It comes down to a choice for money or a legacy. With fewer rounds per tournament you can never compare records between the two tours so it’s not apples to apples. Also, the majors are played at courses that the LIV players are not going to be playing and these players memorize greens. Most of the players who’ve gone are not the young top guys. It’ll be interesting to see how it all pans out. The younger guys are risking a lot more than the older guys.
That's a narrative the spin team has created. Legacy or money 😆. Like the PGA tour and players are all about integrity and not about money. If someone offered you 10 times your salary to work half as much would you take it? You would be doing the same exact job that you already love but now you would have more salary, paid vacations, sick days, and work half as much. Or would you stay where you are because of the company and following through with its mission? That's an easy answer for 90% of humans.
Its's the game of golf's history. PGA is just a brand. The PGA doesn't own golf.

Me thinks.

Yeah just go take blood money from Saudis. To stick it to the PGA.

Sergio too. I think it destroys all the old goals and records to go to another spot and quite honestly I realize it’s all about the money you can’t tell me that it’s not all about the money and if I was in their position and I was a professional golfer certainly I would have that decision to make is it the money or the prestige. Their probably going to have to. I think if LIV doesn’t go under it will be big enough to take away allot of players.
What about human rights abuse with China seems like the PGA and the NBA have no problems with the China. China is ranked 4th in the world for human rights abuse and Saudi Arabia is ranked 18th🤷
Well said. And no one even bats an eye about it.
I'm 68 and never hit the ball as far and on online as I do so it's never over till u quite swinging the golf club
Tiger turned down 800 million, my, my,my, no matter his play time left, integrity counts.
All other sports have this. It is called free agency. Football players, basket ball, so why not golf?
Be nice to hear the questions during Sergio’s interview
Hope Reed attorneys told him that once you sue for defamation your entire, you entire character cones into play
Reminds me of the Packer Series in Cricket and the Rebel Tour to South Africa during the Apartheid era. We all know what became of the players and that enterprise--didn’t last.

I’d more look to what happened with the IPL . Big money and co exists with world cricket
Actually, the only real problem golf has is the caddie problem. Just like in the 20's and 30's...golf needs kids 11-16 as caddies. This would bring the game back to its real roots.
Real roots? Golf is 600 years old .

If that be the case, then college sports need amateur coaches and support staff.
PGA doesn’t own golf ⛳️
the players have an option now, that is good. the PGA now has to react, make changes, legacy is not money and this is a job for these guys.
So far the PGA has fumbled the ball, and now they’re coming across like little dictators running their little fiefdom 🙄

It’s little surprise that Tiger is this insightful.
What are they trying to play on the Tour?
It would be nice for everyone to get along, but, Sergio isn't interested.
You better not speak out when you're on the LIV tour...Kashoggi learned that the hard way.
JFK too, amirite?
Shut up
Steph Curry is my guy. I’m from the Bay but he has made almost a half billion dollars in salary alone, not including shoe deals, and other ad revenue. He shouldn’t even be answering a question about other guys and their career choices. The honorable answer is, “No comment.”
Well said Rory
Big problem is the footballiforcation of the game -just look at the bad behaviour of especially American fans.
Just chasing the dollar-not love of the game.
Split screen with a person jumping out of burning twin tower and Phil talking about how good life is would make the point. 911
They dont have green jackets on the LIV, they give out a green head rag.
What’s sad to me is that they Do Not have to play in EVERY event on the PGA Tour. They are free to play in any event the wish. It all boils down to the all night Dollar which is a shame. It’s just to continue living a lavish lifestyle in my opinion.
Good to see your opinion old 5 iron…
False. They have to play a minimum 15 events, not including majors. They also have to rotate events and not play in the same one every year.

how can the pga ban players, that defected, from all the majors? arent the usga and rga the governing bodies of the majors?
True , but the PGA Tour made golf what it is today.
So what. Time marches on and change is inevitable. The pga needs to roll with the punches, adapt and get better. Or fail.

Politics aside we all were taught right is right and wrong is wrong that never changes.
For everyone saying it's a job and PGA needs to pay the players better, get a clue. Golfers make their money off sponsorships. It's just like NASCAR people. The prize checks are nice but it's the sponsor on the car who pays the bills.
Gmac sacrifice ah yes graham absolutely out there flying pigs
Lets break away from the norm, of course the pga tour isnt happy, this is healthy.
The pga tour is like the World Series of Baseball, Only played in America, Go LIV golf and free Golf from the clutches of the greedy pga
Millionaires talking about where other millionaires are going to work. Ok….
These guys who joined LIV are going to look like serious losers really quick. The public understands any competitive event where money is guaranteed is basically not real and honest.
So all the appearance money offered in golf makes those events not real and honest. What about the WGC events? Or the Tour Championship event? Not real and honest. Gotcha!
@@johnerichsen2708 yes in the European tour appearance money is called Professional Service Fees, but in the PGA thus is not allowed. In the PGA, for the vast majority of players if they dont play well enough they don't earn anything.

A money pumped low budget feel of a tour with shoddy field, shoddy playing formats and tournaments which have zero meaning or legacy behind them. Should be renamed the suckas tour
AMC - You just described the World Golf Championship format that Greg Norman came up with and the PGA themselves then borrowed from and created. Stay clueless. LOL
LIV is only getting bigger. You dinosaurs will have to deal with the change. 😀😀
Legacy=history
I'm ready for the future. Watching golf has been boring for a long time.
First, the World Trade Center now the PGA Tour. When will this end?
You must listen to the news all the time and believe whatever you are told.
I remember when the PGA was against Tiger playing until he was a money draw.
Don’t remember the PGA ever being against Tiger
When was that? Please provide proof.
That never happened.
America gave all of these guys a great life already.. You can throw patriotism out the window because it no longer matters. Any of these guys can be bought and sold to the highest bidders. But watch out for the recoil from all of the true patriotic fans that understand who and what these guys really stand for, MONEY! It rules mens hearts, it destroys more than it builds up and when the dust settles on this foreign buy out of an American/European sport from it's inception there will be many who look at it as a stain on the game of golf that can't be cleansed away by money provoked explanations that pit families of golfers and how "they" feel about the "hard" life on the PGA Tour. No, for these Norman golfers there won't be refuge in simplistic explanations of "why" you tore down your own countries name plate in this great sport, moreover they will be seen as they are, Money worshippers not athletes with a gift few get or have in a lifetime..
Michelson, Johnson, Norman, and all the others fly in private jets, own yachts and live in private gated mansion estates, that's what America did for these guys and if you ask any of them that question dies in the bank account of all of them......
They're trump supporters, what else would you expect 🤷🏾♂️
I understand the reason so many are disappointed with the choices some of the golfers made but it’s also a job and career. Each person has to do what’s best for him and his family. I know the guys who left make a great living, but who’s to say how much someone makes is enough. 100M + I know my wife would say take it, especially after spending 30 years on the PGA Tour.
Your supposed to give what's left over to the church and those less fortunate. It amazes me how the same people who claim to be Christians can just pick and chose what parts of the bible they will honor. As much as you all won't admit it your god and Jesus were socialists and very liberal.
Your comment is a typical greed American style NARCISSISM
I personally like that the PGA Has been put on there place
LIF 100 percent go boys go
Stuff the PGA
So some of the reasons they quit the PGA is to play less only to play more at thier convenience on a tour that they quit? Got it!
Why didn't Rory stay in Europe and play there only ?
Theres a fine line between being greedy and being smart.. 😉🏌️
Steph Curry? Really?? How much is his contract with the NBA worth. 100ds of millions. How much do baseball players make?? Times are changing in golf. It is incredibly difficult to make it to the PGA tour and make cuts on top of that. You don't make a cut, you're out of luck. Steph misses a three pointer and the millions keep on coming. Judge strikes out and the millions keep coming. It is what it is.
Golf is the only sport were you have to actually play well to get paid.
Good for those that left the corrupt pga tour! It is corrupted just like our country! Ran by people who only care about themselves and not the players! I have been a fan and I golf and it does take a lot of time away from family which should be every mans priority! I love the format of Liv golf and will only watch it in protest of the PGA tour’s corruption! Follow the money and you will see what I see.
I can understand both sides but I have to say I'm one that has lost interest in the game overall, pretty much the same as the premier league, it's become way too commercial.
Having said that it was great to see Lowry win the BMW at Wentworth, a proper gentleman.
I wonder what the odds are of Tiger missing the cut at the Open and while meeting the press joins LIV?
The Internet would 💥💥💥💥💥.Lmao!
people are individuals and on that have individual opinions....no one has been cohearsed into making their opinion/decision....sometimes it is worth shaking the tree just to see what drops.....and thats my opinion
I absolutely agree with Rory
Rory is basically saying he won't give up competitive golf to play tic tac toe for 10x more. The excitement of winning and competing against the best in the world has no real price, unless that's no longer what you're chasing. Phil didn't even bother to defend his PGA Championship....the money from LIV required he straighten out those offensive comments to his new bosses. They were truthful comments though.
Have you seen the list of LIV players and their world rankings.
LIV had more major champions this week than the John Deere Classic.
This is unprecedented!! Wow! Who ever imagined the golf world would be at the fork in the road?!??!?!
Why do people think that the pga tour owns golf legacy? The pga tour doesn’t own golf.
I Choose Legacy Evey Single Time
