very interesting to see this gates deck come together. ive had two gates decks so far. 1 was a mostly a RG base deck splashing Black and White. had a decent number of gates, and even the red gate wrath payoff. kinda got me to say, hey if i want to get some gates in the deck, i might as well splash these powerful Black and White gold cards i picked on speculation. was more of a straight forward RG deck and a gates sub theme. that one got a trophy, (first draft of the format, frist time ive ever trophied as a first draft) my other gates deck was more or less a straight 5 color deck (draft pod as really weird. super good UB and GW good cards going super late, like 3 cards left, and the other cards in the pack were just garbage. both pack 1 and 2. in my mind i had to take them as it was just drafting down too much to not. so i was having a hard time finding the right open lane. great gold cards everywhere but nothing mono colored any good. so by the end of pack i was like "oh no, i waffled around, speculated a ton and now im in 5 colors, and have a few gate pay offs with like one gate, what do i do?" answer: just draft gates over literally anything. didnt even look at the packs really, just saw a gate and was like "yup, thats a gate, dont mind if i do" i took every gate that was in that pack. first 8 picks. all gates. no one else got any gates that pack. funny to think i might have screwed a bunch of people over by hard pivoting to the gates deck. i should have at least considered taking other cards over them, but i was so spread out on colors with basically no fixing i didnt want to risk coming up short on my mana base. it can just be such a gamble on whether or not gates will wheel in any giving pod or even pack. so yeah, i was overly disciplined in taking gates in hindsight. i think i still would have taken them quite highly, probably over almost anything. still but i could have at least looked at the packs deck endup going 5-3, not bad considering i kinda scraped it together out of a train wreck of a draft.
I had Jace VP in one of my 3 trad sealed trophies. So many interesting decisions with the looting. I noticed that if you plunk him down with hellkite then flip, he stays on the board!
Those games were awesome, thx for uploading!

Taking gust of wind over simic guildgate p3 after taking a ram and a jace is an interesting decision :)
It is! I tend not to take gates over good spells early on
During draft you sorted the evolving wilds with your 4s. I'm puzzled by the decision. It did seem intentional, why?
It wasn’t lol! Sorry to confuse
