Thanks Alex for another great video :) Just a Caveat, 16:33 you mention casting drowner ``at the end of your oponent`s turn`` might have been a slip of the tongue as on many occasion you want to cast it at the beginning of the opo`s turn to avoid an attack of already present opo creatures. Also sweet gingle for format update just tiny suggestion maybe have it end after the ``3,2,1 let's go!`` 10 secs is a bit long for a gingle. But great addition for the esthetics! :)

Love the "redesigned" level-ups, thanks a bunch Alex. Shout-out to Cracked Skull, I think it's the real deal in Rakdos sacrifice, even in an aggressive build (in opposition to the more traditional grindy midrange which this format's Rakdos excels at). It effectively turns your Fears of Lost Teeth into unconditional removal, and one should not discount the Thoughseizing by turn 3, 4, 5, when the opponent is perhaps plotting his best card in hand). I had a trophy Rakdos pile with only 2 direct removal spells, but since I had 2 Fears already, I boarded in 2 Cracked Skulls to compensate, and it proved a winning combo. As a suggestion for future content, I'd love to see a dedicated episode about ratios, in a broad sense (excluding lands, but a nice starting point nonetheless). As a newish player, I often struggle to ascertain the correct amount of card types in specific builds: how much removal in aggro? What about in control? How many creatures too? Case in point, how many enchantments do I need to trigger my 5-7 eerie payoffs to a satisfying level? You already do a very good job of alluding to these during your presentations and even drafts (and maybe this is a theme with no legs for a 30-40min podcast) but I do wonder about it sometimes.

My 2 favorite decks on this set was a Dimir Control anda a temur rooms splashing marina, holy that last one was amazing, almost caught a trophy 2-1 in md3, roms are so cool to play with

Great vid to see (even if my local TCG couldn't squeeze a draft night pod for me again), think anything short of like Legacy style Turn 2 (or 1) Turbo-Re-animator winds up just too slow so it's honestly better just to grind out and play it like bomb recursion. Honestly reminds me more of Thunder Junctions Golgari-Reanimator type grind. Also glad that you went more depth on Control and specifically blacks commons just a tad, turns out even just Mono-Aristocratting was a better plan than other ways to stabilize Tried Golgari early in set but didn't lock it down right, Delirium was ez but yeah, had the wrong number of creatures/removal that despite the hoop being ez, wound up playing the mid cards instead. I was handed lots of Resurrected Cultists in draft and man, 4/1 with resurrection just was terrible value even attempting blocks and trades...still had the problem of Manifesting all my Removal pieces :/ Just needed a good think of what value to place on Control as the usual "inverse-bell-curve" plan demands certain types of cards and yeah stalked researcher's 3/3 def stats are totally a great block and right on 2 turn timing compared to how a bunch of other stuff lines up (see above). Of course, it's kinda awkward in-colors of "hey the ideal control colors are Azorius...which are also the Best Eerie curve-out deck too", so I do wonder later in the limited draft ecology, if that hurts (fighting for same color cards) or actually helps (actually picking the Controlly pieces way earlier before the mid-range starts looking to back-fill), so I'd like to hear a bit on if that helps pick your lane by sneaking under anothers.

The first fear of infinity is better than the first skullcap nuisance but I'd rather have a second skullcap over a second fear.

yesterday I had a nice izzet controll deck with all the good removals and interaction spells in the colors and finishing with red 1 dmg endstep and the red overlord. Was undefeated and really fun games.

I saw you in a draft pod yesterday!!! I’m gold 4 in draft, so I guess draft pods aren’t ranked at all… I was very excited and I think I drafted OK despite the added pressure…. Currently 0-1 with my gruul deck

I'm confused about what the plan is if we don't crack the expanse at 38:00. On turn 4, we're just getting a tapped land and playing the surveil 2 room, nothing else is castable. Opponent punches us down to 5 and plays a 3 or 4 drop, then we cast swarmweaver and hope to stabilize from there? Delirium probably wouldn't be active unless the surveil hit an enchantment creature plus an instant or sorcery, so the tokens aren't better blockers than glimmer tokens either, I think cracking the expanse is just better there.

I appreciate how well you talk through your thoughts as I'm usually audio only, keep up the good work!

At 19:10 you chump with glimmer token, then put unable to scream on the researcher. What makes this the right play in your eyes instead of double blocking? You effectively spend teeth on researcher instead of scream. This makes your final vengeance in hand slightly weaker (but you can sacrifice a scream if needed), but keeps a scream for a big body later. Are you looking to get more value out of teeth later as well? I.e. Sac to try and nab an x/1

In the second game, attacking with the glimmer into loner seems pretty free, since loner can't be blocked by glimmers and you are happy trading a 1/1 for a 3/1

I think for me the tie breaker fornthe second forest is not being priced into picking forest off commune with evil since you don't have a way to get a land from your graveyard.

Very fun draft, but I feel like this deck could have been a 0 win deck if you didn't pick up Zimone or Swarmweaver, without them you didn't really have a win con most of the time. Overlord obviously could do it itself, but also runs the risk of decking (as you were close to doing so a couple of times).

Awesome deck! A cool one with Zimone when at 7 lands is playing terramorphic, cracking and failing to find, so eot you still have 7 lands in play (or any prime for that matter, but 7 is often the end of the line for her)

Any consideration at 18:55 to use fear to make your land drop -- keep up your instants?
