San Diego: SDPD Pursuit Ends in National City 05062021

LOCATION: Started: NB I-5 @ Palm Ave (SD) Ended: E.30th St & N Ave (NC)
CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:
The male driver and his female passenger were observed by an SDPD officer driving at a high rate of speed and driving erratically on the northbound I-5.
The officer attempted to stop the car and the driver fled, at times driving in the emergency to pass cars.
The driver took the eastbound Hwy 54 and went into National City. Upon exiting the 54 ta Reo Dr/ Plaza Bonita Center Rd, the BMW crashed into another car and continued to flee. The driver went into Bonita and eventually spike strips were used and got all 4 tires.
The driver went west down Sweetwater Rd and back into National City, running several “Red" Lights at several intersections. The driver finally stopped and the Police conducted a “Hot Stop”. Both the driver and his female passenger were taken into custody.
You have to feel bad for the Police dog having to watch. I'm sure to him/her, it's more like a tease and they just want to get in on the action.
Kinda the only hero on the force...the swine pigs choose this life, this life choose the doggy not him
