No conozco al baterista pero suena excelente el trío. Barron como siempre extraordinario pianista. La pura esencia del jazz la música más extraordinaria. La que más nos aproxima a la libertad y paz interna. Viva el jazz!

Yes. Dawn of a new day on a serene ocean with a sky being painted by bright colors reflected on the sea 🌊. It’s a beautiful composition. Yes, I’ve experienced the feeling many times. Thank you Maestro Barron. Our little blue planet and its magnificent Pacific Ocean with its strings of beautiful little islands. The work of a divine Creator that made all that beauty for us to enjoy. Bravo!
Kiyoshi Kitagawa on the bass. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him a number of times. He’s solid. And I’ve followed Kenny Barron since my college days. His smooth touch on Brazilian bossa nova is exceptional. His concert with Charlie McBride (bass) @ Trinity Church, NY 8:07 was masterful.
Jazz is for the listener. Like when I’m on the Gulf on calm waters just sitting under the skies of stars and bright moons. My stress just floats away, all my concerns dissipate. I sit quietly listening to Kenny Barron, especially when he takes me back to Guanabara Bay, Rio de Janeiro.
I have traveled to faraway places around the world, and have been delighted by the music in those little intimate jazz venues where masters like Chet Baker played. Amsterdam is another favorite city of mine.
Kenny’s own collection of his compositions is a treasure of sweet soft music, worthy of every jazz connoisseur’s collection. In Barcelona there is a number of young jazz musicians developed by Maestro Joan Chamorro. They have brought back that big band music and small group jazz to new light. Fascinating Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in Europe.
Simply the best trio Kenny has had for many years. Seems to inspire him to create the most dynamic improvisations. A trio of equal talents. Long may they continue.
The soft piano and subtle brushes by the drummer transports you to a dreamland of serenity to cleanse your mind. All is well in our personal universe. Kenny’s keys take us to a green forest of solitude where our soul is tranquil. Then Kiyoshi’s cords massage our body and soul, before Kenny takes us back home. It’s been a magical flight.

Jazz is like complicated but interesting questions being asked within you mind and soul, then immediately being answered also.

I've been listening to jazz for 40+ years, and somehow Kenny Barron just came on my radar (thanks, RUclips). Now I can't get enough.
He is truly special. I am hooked on his playing too.
Kenny y su trío. Enormes talentos. Gracias. Saludos desde Mendoza, Argentina.
We're so lucky to still have Kenny Barron's artistry.....I've been of fan of his since he was a teenager playing with Dizzy Giilespie....

As of today (8/7/24)the greatest living jazz pianist on the planet.
If you ever go to Japan, I recommend Tokyo Blue Note for some great jazz by great young talents.

I'm listening to this for the first time. Thinking... the only person as good as the piano player is the drummer... and the bassist. Amazing group.
A great trio!! And Willie Jones III always so inventive, tasty with super technique.
Magic Dance=New Sambaだよね。この曲とても好きです♪
Check the drummer on this piece. The pace is vibrant and exciting, it makes you tap your feet quietly.
Amazing 👏👏👏

Terrific!
First piece is by Thelonious Monk (listen carefully to KB). It sounds like a take on Yesterdays by Jerome Kern.
Nope. Close but not same changes.
