  • In this video I take you through the most important information that top advantage players use when evaluating all the various methods and casino games to decide which to exploit and what method to use.
    This video covers card counting, hole-carding, information sharing and edge sorting. Along the way, four critical mathematical concepts are covered: EV, SD, DI and N_0.
    I go into everything covered in this video in more detail in this article:

      Casino people are good people too. Most of them are just doing a job and trying to make a living. We should all be a bit more caring of everyone.

      @@johntomico I don't disagree but for all the money that is taken from the poor bestards, whom just have that itch, someone has to reclaim it. You shouldn't be treated like a criminal for using your brain. Also, when rules for games are altered to make games even less fair then they already are, just to dismayed APs is extreme overkill. APs barely dent the bottom line, even if they take down 7 figures over years. Someone has to win, and you shouldn't be swarmed by security, and intimidated for trying to make a few bucks. Everyone needs a job, and they are doing their job, so it's just the nature of the beast. I remember getting kicked out of Harrahs was so traumatizing, and humiliating. I did nothing wrong except just win some money. They used a flame thrower to kill one mosquito. It's ridiculous. A kind and simple, please leave would suffice. You are too good and take your chips. Just cash out, and not drooling over getting ID would be way more ethical.

    Hi Dr. Jacobson …. I stumbled on your RUclips channel and I have theoretical question for you. If I found a method to beat the casino very consistently - and so simple to learn and teach … how much would the market value be ? I’ve been gambling since I was 20 and I’m in 50s now … I finally figure it out. I’m not telling you to believe me, I’m just wondering was value would that be ? At the end of the day … even when you found the technique … it becomes work. Please entertain and educate me with your thoughts and response. Thank you

    Hi, I’ve been watching you for quite a while and appreciate your videos. I saw your video on baccarat side bets and was wondering whether it is possible to count these side bets without the casino knowing. At the very least, is it less noticeable than counting blackjack? If, for instance I bet 100 dollars on a side bet occasionally during a low count to not raise suspicion would that help? If so, would that significantly impact my overall win? Thank you, and I look forward to more of your videos.

    Knowing what you know from your other job (Climate Casino), how do you stay positive in your day to day?

      I think that question is too deep for me to answer in a reply to a comment. I have written quite a bit about it on my climate blog.

    I found a blackjack software game that has a mistake in its programming that has a tell for when to buy insurance and when not to buy insurance. I wonder if that plus basic strategy is enough to have a positive EV game?

    • @AdvancedAdvantagePlay
      @AdvancedAdvantagePlay  Месяц назад +1

      No.

    • @christophercarlone9945

      It's still negative EV. Perfect basic strategy combined with perfect insurance (even computer perfect insurance taking) is still not enough to give the player an edge over the house.
      I have read on some blackjack forums that a particular progressive betting system, coupled with an obnoxiously large bankroll can slightly net a player a positive EV game, though I forget the rules and parameters around it. With perfect insurance, that would surely be positive EV. You'll have to dig for that information.
      Also, please don't go and blow your hard earned money just listening to a random guy on RUclips like me. I could be completely wrong. But I do remember coming across such a thing.
