I'm seeing this video a few years after you made it Jimmy, and I've come to the conclusion that this is the only channel worth watching on youtube. I've listened and learned guitar playing over the years from your books and vids, and now just listening to your personal stories is awesome. Hope your health is good and you're doing great.

❤😂This guys great. When I first caught his videos I thought wow! Someone else feels the same way about guitarists and music schools! I still play and have come to appreciate it even more these days but I myself couldn’t give two shits about who’s doing what anymore or what scales or modes to use over chords, etc. Peace ✌️

As a guy that uses RUclips to study old-time fiddle and banjo, I'm not sure why it's algorithms brought me to Jimmy Bruno...but I'm glad it did.
    Cheers.

Right on as usual Jimmy! There is NO JAZZ TODAY, THEY DON’T PLAY JAZZ! Most Jazz guitar players are like TV weather men. Untalented A-holes. No qualifications for either profession. And how many times do you have to tell me about the weather. Stick your head outside. None of these so called Jazz guitar players can play Moonlight in Vermont or Airegin (by Sonny Rollins). Wes Montgomery does a killer version of Airegin. Jimmy Bruno does THE BEST VERSION OF MOONLIGHT IN VERMONT, period. I did listen to Johnny Smith”s version, yours is better. Wished we could of seen your guitar tonight. Great exercises that I would like to woodshed on. Thank you Jimmy!

I used to take my sisters piano music and try and play the treble parts , then she taught me to read the G clef and I would put the two together and as with all things guitar some worked well and others were compromise... i also learned piano chords that were a stretch and werent in guitar chord books...then I found out Johnny Smith was actually a proponent for using the grand staff for reading guitar music... his chords showed it...really enjoy your morning chats...love your playing and honesty ...keep on keeping on.

    Hey Jimmy,
Thanks for the video. I enjoy watching.
    I always come away, inspired.
Probably the best lesson of all, is knowing the difference between a professional, and a novice. It is good to know where I am, and where I want to be, as a player.
In the Good book it says, "The truth will set you free.", or something along those lines.
Watching your videos is seeing the truth, at least for me.
