One of the coolest climbing films. Sad that Scott’s not still around. RIP Scott 🙏

Been awhile since I’ve watched this gem. So insanely rad. Climbing world lost a true legend when Scott passed.

"Regardless of whether you are a climber, most anyone keen on a good adventure will easily sink their teeth into this film. Director Keith Ladzinski brings his characters to front and center, letting them tell the story, and uses his hand to wrap their story in a cool modern western style...."
Desert Ice: A 3 Strings Productions video is up for The Explorers Award from the Cold Smoke awards for 2014/15. The Explorers award will go to the film pushing geographic and personal exploration the furthest.

Since it came out, it’s been one of my fav climbing videos. Lots of humour with some badass climbing. Obviously made completely poignant by Scott’s passing. A few years ago.

I think there are always apparent dangers, but the risks should be managed by being smart.

Well, he probably won't live very long. Drinking alcohol and ANY dangerous feat simply do NOT go together, eventually they will die!
There are many mountain peaks in Utah, I skied there several times. There are many in the 12000 foot plus range. And it gets cold. Utah is FAR from being all desert!
