Thank you my friend. Never knew how to use S.C. feature on the F6 inside FL or Cubase until I watched this. Sometimes it takes watching someone else work and you just have an "AHAAAAAA" moment.
can you please explain why my 808s sound banging and distorted and nice at the start, but as the track goes on they become more quiet? I have compression and a compression side chain to the kick
My guess is that your 808 channel is not cutting itself, and thus layering on top of the tails of the previous hits. Then the compressor squashes them to make them sound quiet. See channel>cut self
Probably simple to ask, but I Would love to know how to get my vocals sounding like how u sound on this tutorial and plenty others Iv watched of urself David?
I have trouble when processing 808 transients. The tail throws the processor off and if the pattern is fast enough, it doesn't have time to release and then shape the next attack. Hope that makes sense.
Look for videos on how to setup sidechain in Cubase. I had same issue using FLstudio. Although I know how to sidechain in FL studio using stock plugins I never took the time to notice the RTA - ON button at top of F6's window and the "SC" variable to the left of the on/off button. Now I'm side chaining like a boss :)

Great video. Simple, to the point, and in plain english. This helped my understanding of mixing drums and low end to a whole new level.

Very helpful video.
Charley Dave you do all. Your Ghana brothers say Hi. Keep up the good work.
Won’t having such sharp transients on such a low frequency element make it almost impossible to achieve overall loudness in your final mix?
Gain staging
You’re right don’t use a transient designer
how to install?

Bangin

How I can do the last thing you've done in cubase?
