Now We are ready to Ride the sky with Judas in a Starlight and an Eagle fly free🤘🤘🤘
fuck hell yeah !!!!!!
FUCKIN RIGHT!!!!
Haha, yeah!! Cause Time marches on for the guardians who save us by Heavy Metal that's the law :-)))
Ride the sky ! Still one of the heaviest song to this day !
I had the Helloween EP cassette. The next song after this one should be Cry for Freedom. I'd liked Helloween to Keeper of the Seven Keys, but I'd never liked the second version of it. Just like Maiden, last good record to me was Seventh Son
From their Debut EP back in 1985 with Kai Hansen on Guitar and Vocals before Michael Kiske joined the Band (heard on Halloween).Kai left the Band later and formed his own Band GAMMA RAY....maybe next Song Reaction THE TALE THAT WASNT RIGHT or RIDE THE SKY.....
early Helloween with guitar player Kai Hansen as vocalist, try How Many Tears from their debut album
Ride the Sky, Guardians. etc.etc.etc.
All of those songs are from the second record, released in America in 1986 (The Walls of Jericho). Their first record was in 1985 (Helloween). You guys probably bought the CD, in which both albums fit onto one CD, and is now sold that way, and even has a bonus song from a 3rd recording session called "Judas", which probably caused your confusion. The CD version of Walls of Jericho, released in 1988 is actually a *compilation* of 3 different recording sessions. You can easily tell since the new "Walls of Jericho" (the way it's now sold) has an intro before Starlight (opening track of their first record) and another intro before Ride the Sky (first song on their second record). These intros are obvious separations between records. You can also easily tell the differences between the 3 separate recordings, just by listening to them. Also, Kai sounds a bit different on each of them, since he was maturing. Helloween were also featured on a compilation record in 1984, showcasing two songs, Metal Invaders (later released on their second record in 1986) and Oernst of Life (a song that Weikath brought over from his old band). That being said, Walls of Jericho is far from Helloween's first release, as they were featured on a record in 1984 and had their debut record in 1985.
If I were to suggest something from the second record, it would also be How Many Tears. Weikath's best song. The high note that Kai hits at the climax is just orgasmic.
@@adameves5970 yeah How Many Tears would be GREAT
@@adameves5970 first ALBUM, not first record
good old helloween..
You guys need to watch the Michael Kiske versión
prefer Kai's raw-ness to the over-polished Kiske version.
Nah
Wow, off the first album in 1985... AWESOME!
Songs that you have to listen:
1. Ride the sky
2 Eagle fly free
3. Hellowen
4. Eagle Fly Free4. Keeper of the seven keys
5, If i could Fly
6. Pumkins United.
Full package of helloween's vocalists and some of their best songs.
What a band!!!!!!!!!!! ´´Eagle Fly Free´´ should be your next reaction, an authentic anthem of Power Metal. You won't be disappointed..
kai hansen hasn't got the smoothest voice, but i love that rough sound combined with that impeccable guitar work. this mini album is one of my favs, try "cry for freedom" from the sam album, u'll love it...
Love Halloween listen "How Many Tears" of the same album. You rock guys. lml
That's from the next album. This, Victim of Fate, is from their first recording session, and first record. How Many Tears is from the second record.
@@adameves5970Starlight were the EP, and Walls of Jericho the second album.
How Many Tears is my #1 song from Helloween ever.
This was from when one of the guitarists Kai Hansen was the singer, before they hired the one you heard on the other songs. Kai left the band in '88 and formed Gamma Ray, and took over lead vocals again on that band's 4th album, and his vocals were MUCH more polished by then, he sounded very green here. There are too many songs to recommend from Gamma ray, Kai is the king of power metal.
If I may, I suggest you compare this version (with Kai Hansen as vocalist) with the other version (with Michael Kiske as vocalist). It'd be interesting to hear your opinion.
Yeah. I heard Kiske's version first and I think it is a bit better :-)
@@talaniel A bit? 😉
@@abiseniyya Kiske´s version is BETTER you´re right
This is art. Masterpiece of Heavy Metal.
They were Teenagers when they wrote this song. There's a new version of this with Kiske in vocals. It's awsome. Next Eagle Fly Free live, I Want Out and The King Of A 1000 Years live from Helloween. But i strongly recomend the balland A Tale That Wasn't Right. One of the most powerfull ballands of all time.
Nope. Original is more pure metal attitude. Kiske too polished on it.
love that u picked up an old song, the first mini album is my fav helloween album...
Helloween ❗🤘🎸🎃🔊🇩🇪 GODFATHERS OF POWERMETAL 🤘
I prefer the version with Kiske on vocals, it has much more power. This version is way more heavier tho.
Really? I love Kiske, but i thought he sounded awkward on the earlier stuff, just didn't suite his voice...
@@mix6809 Oh, "Victim of Fate" was all right with him manning the mic. Actually, the spoken words were creepier and the highs (obviously) were higher - which is required of this song. The Kai version gets the benefit of the first-comer.
Nop, you sucks!
I FORGOT THIS EVEN EXISTED WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!
Thank you so much for this post. Wow
#ferosciousness
Great video reaction guys, helloween is the law.
Hiya Kel i couldn't agree more !!!!! iam 60 never heard of these bands in my teens i was brought up on 70 rock manly english by my brother .... !!!!! .... either I love the time changes with these bands just brilliant and music styles !!!!!! i also love space rock .. ozric tentacles .... dream theater ....
The fathers of power metal! My first time seeing your channel so immediately clicked and subscribed. Great analysis guys. I'd love to see you react to a Spanish power metal band called Debler. Try "nada nos podra parar" or "sentencia final" Nobody on RUclips has reacted to them yet. I'm sure you'll enjoy them!
I haven't listened to this song in a while. I don't think I noticed how much it sounds like Iron Maiden. The main rhythm riff reminds me a lot of the Iron Maiden song, Transylvania. The lyrics are similar to that of the Iron Maiden song Wrathchild.
This song AND Starlight with Kiske on vocals aré puré magic
Remembering that in this song Kai Hansen played guitar and was also the vocalist. Greetings from Brazil.
Simply AMAZING!
Hansen, the father of power metal...., máster piece
#painintheask You should react to "eagle fly free", "how many tears" and "a tale that wasn't right", great helloween songs too.
A big favorite sense it came out..
You should try Victim of Fate Kiske version, it's amazingly beautiful.
Ahh, a song off their first EP. Was it 1984 or what?? Kai Hansen's vox were just getting 'round, but were still pretty rough then. On the first album-proper "The Walls of Jericho", he was figuring it out (#Painintheask HELLOWEEN "Ride the Sky"), but then they got the prodigy by the name of Michi Kiske... Btw, there exists a version of "Victim of Fate" featuring Kiske, with quite tremendous interpretation by the guy - distinct, check it out too!
You should listen to "How many tears" from Helloween too. My #1 favourite Helloween song ever.
All 3 vocalists in Helloween loved that song too. :)
Lead guitarist Kai Hansen does the vocals 'cause they couldn't find a singer. Later they hired singer Michael Kiske. That's the vocals you hear on the Keeper albums. Kai Hansen who wrote this song, played it later live with his new Band and his solo project.
*Long story short* Kai Hansen in Wacken: ruclips.net/video/22kTXJW-EEw/видео.html
gamma ray Lake of Tears
Oh my good. Thancks really thancks... this is my favourite song of helloween in kiske version of course
Una de las mejores bandas excelente vos
I suscribe !!!
Helloween was the first harder heavy metal band i listning and opened the door for harder music like metallica back in the eighties. before, - i listning only rock songs from the pop charts like van halen, scorpions, bon jovi or ACCEPT.
its kai hansen who sings not micheal kiske one of the guitarists on keeper ......
You should also listen to Gamma Ray.
#GammaRay Somewhere out in Space
Hello. You are great guys.. have you tried with Rocka Rollas. A great heavy metal band. There's a great song named "The Road to Destruction".
A great singer, fast guitars, powerful bass and drums. Saludos desde Santiago de Chile.
Please react to GAMMA RAY "Beyond the black hole" is the band of Kai Hansen ex guitarist of Helloween who form the band and the singer of this song
from walls of Jericho
it's a bit ironic listening to Germans talking about violent parts of town and crime. Even in 1985, the murder rates for the whole of Germany were probably lower than a single city in Brazil or the US. Even counting the people shot by soviets trying to escape East Berlim!
87's Living for The Night, by Brazil's Viper makes much more sense, in the context the artists were singing...
Excellent reactions and excellent selection of songs and bands.
In the first albums of Helloween, the influence over Kai Hansen (founder, guitarist and singer) had 70s Judas Priest is clear. Songs like Victim of Changes are like a heavier 80s version of Priest songs like Genocide or Exciter (please react to them).
Kai Hansen eventually left Helloween due to conflicts with the other guitarist and founding member.
Hansen then founded another great power metal band: Gamaray (go and cheack Land of the Free). In the early days of Gamaray, they had an excellent vocalist named Ralf Scheepers who later went on to Primal Fear (react to Metal is Forever).
Helloween today is very different from what it was in its early years, but it is still excellent. You should react to King For a 1000 Years.
There you have it: a lot of metal history and music to hear haha lml

I prefer the version with Kiske singing it. ... .
Yeah it's honestly so much better
Listen one brazilian band.. your name is CASA DAS MÁQUINAS ( HOUSE OF MACHINES ) ... Rock 70's
they were probably still teens when they wrote these lyrics. Their next albums have such different lyric styles.
You should have reacted on Kiske version.
Manowar, ..nevermore, helloween...you kill me
Please reaction to one step into paradise from pinkcream
Dimmu Borgir - Gateways (Live with orchestra and choir) ruclips.net/video/XGoak4ISCPU/видео.html amazing show! Kel promised it was coming. #painintheask
#painintheask Iron Maiden - The Nomad
Este y how many tears, los mejores temas de helloween, no hay comparación. Los kiske y deris lover no saben nada 😁. Kai hansen el mejor, incomparable
ruclips.net/video/22kTXJW-EEw/видео.html otra versión, excelente tambn. Uno de los pocos registros de este tema en vivo.
Hi there you need to react to Strange World by Iron Maiden its a song that reminds me of my husband and when we first fell in love.
there would be no dark music without ALICE COOPER.
The version with Michael Kiske in the voice is much better. Without detracting from the sublime Kai Hansen.
#painintheask react to unisonic Exceptional
Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen new band
#painintheask react to Tears of Sahara of Tony MacAlpine live at EMG
I think they used a lot of tapping in the solos.

much better version of this is with Michael on vocalas
Yeah. Very early Helloween with the dodgier vocals, but still great songs.
This song is much better with Michael Kiske at voices recorded a few years after this one.
nah. TOO polished. The rawness of the original is more in the true metal vein. :)
@@incarnate6779 Kai hansen is only an acceptable singer, great composer, good guitarist but aceptable singer,he is nobody near singers with the magic touch like King Diamond Chuck Billy,"Piggy" D´amour or Mikael Akerdfeldt and many others whose performances has really enriched with rawness.
@@antoniomanuelpereirogonzal726 you contradict yourself. King Diamond isn't a voice enriched with rawness but more technical with great ability to reach high notes. As far as Kai being an "acceptable singer" - I agree. Kiske is much better BUT that's what I like about Kai. His passion outshines his ability and I'd rather listen to a mediocre singing his ass off than a polished one going thru the motions. But it's all subjective bruh. You know, apples and oranges and such and so forth. ;)
@@incarnate6779 ok maybe K.D. is not a good example i put him because is one of the biggest and terrifying , i love him. less lirycs too like Jon Oliva ,Hansi Kursch... the list is long
@@antoniomanuelpereirogonzal726 but that we definitely agree on! I've been a King Diamond fan forever. Even after all these years it's amazing he can still sing the way he does.
Kai Hansen the best helloween
not debu n 2 record
Helloween a tale that wasn't right
Man Kai Hansen is a great guitar player, but I can't stand his voice in the early days. When he starts Gamma Ray he sounds much better
In ride the sky he's spot on though. That song sounds so much better than the other songs on that album, like they put more effort into it.
@@Progster0192. It's been a long time since I have heard this, but I don't remember the vocals sounding this "demo like" - was this re-recorded for CD release?
@@phillipevans9414 I do actually believe that this is from the a self-titled EP, as suggested by the image in the video. And you can argue that on some parts the vocals sound just a tiny bit different here, but overall it's almost the exact same sound as on walls of jericho. (also the video is probably lower in quality.) I have no idea why but it seems like ride the sky was recorded and mixed much better than the other songs. Not night and day but the production difference is there for sure.
@@Progster0192. Thanks for the info, cheers!
@@Progster0192 Yes, this is from an earlier recording session, different than the Walls of Jericho recording. I actually prefer the more raw vocal sound of this record compared to the Walls of Jericho record. Kai is a bit grittier, and the imperfections he has are endearing and it's part of why I fell in love with his music. Just the way he says "VICTIM OF FATE!!" here is exactly what I'm talking about. I'm sure it wouldn't have sounded as good later on the Walls of Jericho recording session.
Wrong friggin version ....michael kiske version is so much better damn who sending you these request .
Michael Kiske version is better
