really good video, unfortunately I cant get the particle system to rotate however :( not sure if its because blender update or not

lovely tutorial. thank you. I want to use this particle system in the background of an animation. however as soon as i start the animation, the particles fall down. Is there a way to fix this?
Using "Hair" instead of "Emitter" worked for me.

Hello, thanks for the tutorial expetially for telling the shortcut. But it seem's I have some issues on my computer, once reached the particle system part, "Rotation" just won't do anything. Any idea on the cause of this ? (It's like the first time i'am using blender)
Hi I had the same problem. Make sure you have the box checked in the "Object -> Object rotation". If that does nothing changing the properties "Emision->Number" from the particle system did the trick, because it updates with the new configuration. Welcome to Blender and have fun!

Ctrl + r is loop cut tool.
WHAT is 2:24? Shift+D , R, Z 90?
Shift + D --- to duplicate the object
R --- to rotate the object
Z --- rotate the object on the Z axis
90 --- rotate object at 90 degrees
To duplicate the object Shift+ D, and to rotate that object press R on the Z axis press Z at 90 degrees press 90
