I enjoy your 56 f100 videos! Very useful too as I assemble my second 56 F100. Keep up the great work!

That bracket to the fire wall is needed .It will wiggle if not there, Careful those columns take a 9 bolt wheel and expensive and needed a horn button too. Did mine just like this . Worked out just right.

Awesome series of videos. Thanks you. How does the clutch and brake pedal feel mounted to the firewall verses the floor mounted stock pedals? Is it comfortable or does it feel wierd? I put an power master cylinder under floor brake system on my 55 but now going with a new motor and manual transmission and thinking about changing my MC location and doing what you did. Please advise on how it feels.

Thanks! They feel good and are comfortable, it's a more natural throw than the pedals going through the floor. The floor mounted I think are popular to keep the firewall cleaner, as far as I know that's about the only real advantage.

I cut and modified a cheap 2 inch exhaust pipe rain cap I grabbed at our local tractor parts store. I would recommend the Ididit part # 2401300010 which is real similar and would give you a lot more adjustment for angle.

Hows the firewall rigidity now after a few years of use? I was considering buying a firewall patch panel to cut and put some bends like you did to give it more rigidity.

No issues so far, still super firm. I would highly recommend reinforcing the firewall, this is not something you want to fail under a hard emergency stop.
